Agreed, especially about the dual-wielding.Lunatic wrote:As for an actual addiction? I'm addicted to dual wielding. It's not practical for a light armor character, it gives you no defense other than your armor, the attacks are kind of slow if you don't have the right perks, but it's just a ton of fun to use, not to mention the standing animation for it looks awesome.

I'm addicted to taking everyone else's alcohol, and selling it. It seems all the mead and wine of Skyrim has gone missing! Oh wait, it's all for sale -each bottle- at the Drunken Huntsman in Whiterun or the Ragged Flaggon in Riften

If I'm bored, between quests or trekking through the great unknown to a different town and I see a bunny, I enjoy the difficulty of killing it with stealth and a bow. I used to be addicted to enchanting.
Since I got level 100 and it's perk I rarely come back to a table. I used to spent a lot of time enchanting things and selling them, discovering new enchantments, etc...

Heh, I agree. I collect books and stock them on my shelves in my Solitude home, and I try to organize them too. So like the book about dragons goes with the dragonborn book, etc.FORKFARM wrote:... I also collect books -- I wish I could open a library
I'm like you except with Smithing. I played all day today and jumped about 30-35 lvl's of smithing, to get to 97. I hope to get to 100 so I can create Dragon armor, and then improve it! Re: I think I'm addicted to...(Tell of your Skyrim addiction
I have three addictions, one minor and two major.
The minor consists of gathering matching sets of everything that can possibly match i.e. clothes, armour, weapons, jewellery etc.
The first major one is plants. If I'm out and about I pick up every single growing thing I can harvest, because you never know when you might need more Dragon's Tongue, right?
The second, and by far the most severe addiction, is keys. I try to gather every single key that exists, because I feel like a master thief when bypassing locks without even dignifying them with my picks. The Wax Key perk was made for me and it is a must for all my characters. I even went as far as naming several characters Keymaster. (Any Gatekeepers out there?)

2 for me, first and foremost is collecting gems and putting them on display anywhere I can. I am a dragon at heart after all.
2nd is Decorating my home in Solitude.
I love kettles. What I will do is put one in a corner of my house then fill it to the brim with gems of all kinds. I then go to the basin on a stand in my bedroom and set the Sigil Stone on top of it (crystal ball!!!) Falmer Eye goes on the shelf, Bugs in a jar go on the mantle behind the table on the second floor. I fill the non interact-able containers on the first floor with gold ingots, the shelf on the bottom floor is lined with Centurion Dynamo Cores, the enchanting table has Grand Soul gems sitting on it....I could go on and on and on and on and on and on.
Man if a thief could ever survive my housecarl and me, they would be set for life robbing my house

Well, basically every time I come to a high cliff or mountain face, I just HAVE to quicksave and jump off just so I can appreciate the rag-doll physics. I usually do this three or four times, and I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to watching my character hilariously tumble to his death.
(As a side note, I have the "extended death camera" mod, which means I get to watch the entire view of my character tumbling without a loading screen appearing

I always move to the front of a chest, dresser or cupboard and center the crosshairs on the lock or handle before I open it.

I have to unlock everything I can find. Even if I know there's nothing in it, or it's really difficult to unlock or get to hidden. I unlock everything to get the Lockpicking boost then I get the key to add to my key collection.

Books! I read every book there is, and then I take it and try to remember to go home and drop my 100 pounds of dead weight in my library from time to time.

Abomb bug...i played oblivion for 3.5 years just to get kicked out in the middle of fun because of that..Evil-i wrote:I don't know if this an addiction or a compulsion, but I like to collect things. All things. Everything. I'm aiming to have 100 of every common game item, like 100 Lanterns, 100 of each kind of Bucket, each kind of Shovel, each kind of weapon and armour, Embalming Tools, and so on. And none of it gained through thievery. With Oblivion's game-ending ABomb bug, I never got close to achieving it.
I haven't bought a house in Skyrim yet, and the End Table in the Alchemist's Shack is starting to creak and groan under the load.
till this day i'm not able to touch oblivion anymore because of that,it ruined the game for me,such a shame that a fix was never issued for that.
Re: I think I'm addicted to...(Tell of your Skyrim addiction
For me, I can't not pick up/steal/buy a goat or eidar cheese wheel if I see one. I'm also a big organizer and seller; all of my loot has to go in its special chest, and all of the loot I don't need must be sold until all of the merchants in Whiterun (I use Breezehome as my home base.) is out of money for their two-day periods. I'm BIG on selling things. (Yet, 135 hours in, I just now took the time to pay close attention to the upper-level speechcraft perks; I squeed a bit when I saw the Merchant and Investor perks. Yeah... I'm an idiot.)

This. Also, foxes. If I see a fox, I will drop everything - doesn't matter what I'm doing, I'll stop everything - and do whatever I can to hunt it down and end it, usually yelling something like "I WILL CRUSH YOU". After I've killed it I'll usually pick it up its corpse and either throw it down a mountain or into the nearest river, for lulz and great justice.Argonanza wrote:Whenever I see a bunny, I WILL destroy it. I'm addicted to collecting Alchemy ingredients. I just cannot help myself from grabbing everything I see, even if I have 41 deathbells. :/ In both my houses, the alchemy area is packed and overflowing with reagents. Its a compulsion.

I'm addicted to two handed weapons (It's extremely satisfying to hit an enemy with a giant hammer.), restoration magic, heavy armor, and smithing constantly even though I don't make much of a profit from it.
