I've never had Illia, but I've had Brelyna. She was okay, but I really missed J'zargo and went right back to him.
Brelyna's my wife though.

Anyone ever used Erik the Slayer? He's personally one of my favorites.

You mean Erik GreenThumb? Erik Hoe-Pusher?

Illia is the best dps mage in game but Jzargo is sturdier IMO

You guys know the story behind Erik, right?

His name references Erik West, whose internet alias was "Immok the Slayer", a visitor to Bethesda's HQ during Skyrim 's development. Bethesda was so impressed with his knowledge of Oblivion that they gave him an in depth tour of Bethesda studios and decided to create a character in the name of Erik. Sadly, Erik died in May 2011 from a long battle with cancer and never got to see the release of Skyrim.

I like the DBIs and Cicero, they're good sneaks so they don't give me away nearly as much as my other followers, they are essential so I don't need to worry about hitting them on accident, and they can dualwield and do damage like bosses.

I like Jenessa, that Dark Elf you can hire in the Drunken Huntsman. She's very enthusiastic about killing people and tells me there's danger in my eyes. Fabulous.

Jenassa's also a great candidate for marriage for evil-er characters. She's also one of the few who actually dual-wield.
