Here's to hoping that you will only encounter a minimal amount.
And to that you will get Wild Wasteland and get the Alien Blaster.

True that it took 2-3 restarts, but my last character got through the whole game without a major bug (just the standard graphical hiccups). It froze once after I had the console on for 15 hours straight, but I kind of doubt that was the game's fault... That said, I've determined that I'm just a lucky SoB when it comes to NV, so your mileage will almost certainly vary.

Wild Wasteland is great. Sure the YCS is one of the best energy weapons in the game but come on, Princess Bride, Doctor Who, Firefly, Futurama, Aliens, Monty Python, Star Wars, Evil Dead and Gremlins references. There is no question when it comes to which one I want.

Quick question: Doing the quests in different ways change something regarding the story or it's just something to raise replay value?
Spoiler:
I just finished the one in the town were crimminals took over, forgot the name, in which you had to save a deputy. He was locked up inside an hotel, saved him but then he died. Now the local sheriff is that robot from the casino.

Each town, faction, follower, et cetra has their own ending based of your actions. There are also four different paths you can take in the main quest that will result in helping different groups, doing different mission and having different endings. It is a game where your actions or your lack of actions do have lasting consequences.

Nobody will believe me when I say this, but I've never encountered a single major bug in New Vegas, not once. And since getting it for the PC I've had just two crashes that I can think of. Of course, there's still a ton of minor bugs floating around, but they cause no harm and just add to the game's character.

I know that you're in love with it head over heels, but how do bugs add a positive note to a game's character?

I've only experienced where the game froze up as I entered VATS.

Silly little bugs just add a bit of humour to the game. New Vegas is about as immersive as a solid wall, so I don't mind seeing NPCs not being able to walk over a pavement or with a random animation glitch. It really just makes me laugh.

I had a merchant's head spin upside down as he was looking at me in New Vegas. I laughed my ass off.

I was creeped out when the doc's head started rotating right at the beginning. Yeah, I see your point these glitches can be funny as hell. Maybe I'll give this game another chance when it gets on sale.

Here's a question of the century.

Why the hell did we need a PipBoy in NV?

I just found one of those "rotating bugs" in New Vegas.

Killed a couple of members from the Powder Gang, went inside a building and when I left one of the corpses was kinda "shaking" outside. Odd.

By the way, who did you guys sided with? I know I'm on the beggining, only level 6 and etc but I'm leaning more towards the Legion.

NCR is really the last, best hope of humanity (and mutants too.) I'm annoyed that a NCR Super Mutant Ranger was cut from the game.

The Mid-Western Brotherhood beats them by a long shot. But because they're "dead" by Beth lore, I'm forced to agree.

I'm pretty sure they are alive with the "destroy it" ending. It was referenced in Fallout 3.

If they got the good ending - they'd put the NCR to shame.

Because the PipBoy has been a Fallout staple since the first game and removing it would cause people to throw a bigger fit than they did when Bethesda made Fallout 3 an Action-RPG.

I usually end up siding with House. He has plans to put man on the moon within a few years! He is the NEWT GINGRICH of the Fallout world.

Then they should made it to where it makes sense that we have a pipboy. Not 'oh here's a piupboy man"

The best endings are House or NCR and the worst is Independent Vegas.
