Re: The Names Thread
My goodness, you guys are on so many characters...
I love coming up with names for my characters! You can also take the name generator and play with ideas there; the wiki also has names for each race that I've commonly used for a reference. You don't have to use exactly what you stumble upon, but it's a good way to start brainstorming, I find.
I'm playing an Imperial named Lenicus Sarillius. I'm actually quite a fan of the name.
Originally I just took the most Imperial surname I could find, which I decided was "Tullius," except then I discovered there was a Tullius (albeit with a different pronunciation than what I had in mind) and that just seemed like bad blood, so I took the next most Imperial surname I could find, which was Sarillius. Works for me!

Kajiit: my character's name is 47. I'm a hitman fan. That's the way I play skyrim, quiet in, quiet kill, quiet out. No witnesses.

Re: The Names Thread
Fred. Yea I'm not very creative when it comes to naming my characters...
Fred is my Nord warrior.
FRED!!!!! is my Breton destruction mage.
Mr. Fred is my Dunmer assassin.
Taco is my Khajiit werewolf character (I play on novice so that I feel appropriately powerful running around as a werewolf)
Maximus Fred is my Imperial Spartanish warrior who runs around smacking people with Tage the Blooded (also played on a lower difficulty so that shield bashing can be deadly)

Well, my current wood elf is named Serthis. And my high elf was named Eridran. I also once had an Argonian on Oblivion named "Travels-Far."

I named my male Bosmer Assassin Mardathen, and my Oblivion Bosmer Assassin Mordathen. A fail on my part, but still a nice name.

Re: The Names Thread
My Khajiit is called
S'ushi
because I wanted something real, but in the Khajiit naming convention. I think it's not bad
I'll start Breton (probably) or Dunmer mage soon and I'm looking for some name, so I will look here again for inspiration

Re: The Names Thread
As someone else said I take characters from mythology, legends and er comic books. My current game is as Conan the Barbarian (Arnie version) Norse favours a two handed sword doesn't use magic and doesn't wear much armour. I find if I make up a character myself I just play the same way I always do but trying to re-create someone else's story forces me to play differently.

Re: The Names Thread
Let's see...
Hrothi the Red - male nord - Hrothi is an old Norse name meaning fame or glory. I used it in Oblivion for my Arena Grand Champion character.
Terithien Poldhu - male breton - Terithien is a very old Cornish name, Poldhu is Cornish for "black pool".
Mahir abd-al-Hasam - male redguard - my mercenary/Companion. The name is Arabic for "skillful son of the sword"
Ovex Tevryl - male dunmer - the Elder Scrolls version of an old EverQuest character of mine (in EQ his last name was T'vryll)
Claudia Paladia - female imperial - my "paladin", named in honor of Claudia Christian who does the voice of Legate Rikke, Jarl Laila Law-Giver and many others in-game.
Liarvi-Ahzwal - male argonian - my assassin, named (sort of) after an infamous real-life assassin
Aelinwae - female altmer
Kelstric - male bosmer
Update: After defeating Alduin and ending the civil war (in their own ways), Hrothi and Claudia have retired. Add to the list:
Neh'lurz "Lurz" gro-Gandul - male orc - a necromancer; his first name and appearance is inspired by Ner'zhul from Warcraft. His surname comes from Ner'zhul's apprentice, Gul'dan.
Ra'venna - female khajiit - named after my cat, Raven.
