This sounds too good to hide in the Skyrim-General subforum; allow me to bump it up to a glorious announcement!
Too bad I already have all three games...that price is a steal!

I can't believe I'm considering buying this... I love my 360! What are minimum requirements for PC users for Skyrim?

I have made my purchase, even though I own all three games on Xbox. Wanted to see what all the "MOD" fuss was about.

Re: Elder Scrolls Collection (Steam) on Sale!
The GOTY Editions for Morrowind and Oblivion do not include DLC, just FYI for anyone considering getting it. Still a great price if you don't already own Skyrim though, but if you're just after Oblivion for example, you might be best off waiting for the Deluxe Edition (fairly sure it's called Deluxe) to go on sale again, which I'm confident it will.

Re: Elder Scrolls Collection (Steam) on Sale!
Morrowind - $10
Oblivion GOTY (GOTY from friend
) - $30
Skyrim - $60
I've payed probably just over $100 on TES games ever. Plus I get free DLC from my friends without XBL that have to buy hard copies of add-ons, as I just pop in the second disc, install the add-ons and play it on my disc
. I hope they release a hard copy of the first Skyrim DLC. Freeloading FTW.
I don't know why I just posted that.

Re: Elder Scrolls Collection (Steam) on Sale!
Are you sure? I bought the GOTY Oblivion from Steam and got all of the DLC included. I don't think it's included from Morrowind but it's easily downloadable on the Bethesda site, so it doesn't bother me.OblivionDuruza wrote:The GOTY Editions for Morrowind and Oblivion do not include DLC

The Oblvion GotY Deluxe comes with all the DLC, while the the plain GotY editions of both Morrowind and Oblivion only come with the major expansions.

Re: Elder Scrolls Collection (Steam) on Sale!
Just to confirm, folks...
Morrowind GOTY = Morrowind plus major expansions (Tribunal and Bloodmoon)
Oblivion GOTY = Oblivion plus major expansions (Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles)
Oblivion GOTY Deluxe = Oblivion GOTY plus all minor expansions (the official DLC's, e.g. Wizard's Tower, Horse Armour, etc)
Note that Oblivion GOTY Deluxe for PC via Steam is now the ONLY way to get the official DLC's for PC. The DLC store has been "closed for maintenance" for a LONG time (since late 2006, actually), and all links to it from the official Elder Scrolls website have been broken for years and have only recently been deleted. The only links that now exist are to Xbox Live Marketplace, where Xbox360 owners can still spend gamer points to buy the DLC's separately. As for PS3 owners, I have no idea if the DLC's are even available.
Seems Bethesda DON'T want to release the DLC's as separate paid downloads for PC owners, but instead WANT us to pay for the entire game and ALL expansions including the DLC's, whether we already have some of them them or only want one or two of them or not! I don't know about you lot, but I'm annoyed by that kind of greedy crass commercialism.

Most of the other DLC were kind of weaksauce anyway. Most of them just gave you a new home. Frostcrag Spire was probably the best out of the lot (especially since it provided access to the test cell on the Xbox!).

Re: Elder Scrolls Collection (Steam) on Sale!
@H8Ball: Let me get this straight... Are you complaining about having to pay for the Vanilla and all available DLCs, even the minors? Everything in one disk/digital copy instead of buying things separately?
I'm not sure if that roll eyes emoticon is just blatant sarcasm or just a form to express dislike but having all the DLCs is awesome, even if you're not going to use them. (Horse Armour in Oblivion comes to mind).
.......................
As for the thread and the sales. Damn, which I had a good PC to run everything. Of all these 3 I can only run Morrowind in the "middle" settings...
Speaking of which, to install the Steam thing which runs the game, do you need to have an Steam account or you can just download it as a guest?

They fix a ton of bugs that Bethesda left behind in case of the Morrowind Code Patch also greatly improve how the game behaves itself on high resolutions.

True, and they really bog down your beginning game with those infuriating popups. I usually disable them until I'm far enough into the game to want them.Musicman247 wrote:Most of the other DLC were kind of weaksauce anyway. Most of them just gave you a new home.
Still, this is a great sale. I noticed that Skyrim is also on sale as well!

Re: Elder Scrolls Collection (Steam) on Sale!
Fortunately for me, I got oblivion goty deluxe when it went on sale a few months ago... it was the first game I got on (and reason for getting) Steam. I did pick up the morrowind pack, because I've only played Morrowind in spurts, never all the way through. I also picked up the skyrim + guide download for about 50, though I have it for PS3 already. For those of you who picked this up, don't forget the steam marketplace now let's you try mods out. A lot of you mentioned "to see what Mods are all about" in your posts, with steam it's easier than ever... though it, admittedly, could have been handled a bit better. Be sure to check it out, it was definately a major factor in my decision to pick up the games.
