Re: Favorite Book
I can't believe no one mentioned Hallgerd's Tale.
I also love Palla, Vivec's Sermons (particularly Sermon 14...woof), A Dance in Fire, hell, almost every single book I actually sit down and read turns out to be really cool. To whoever wrote them, thank you, thank you for adding this layer of depth to the world.

Re: Favorite Book
Oh yah Palla was great.
All the Waughin Jarth and Marobar Sul ones too.
Yah, there's too many good ones of different flavors (funny, creepy, esoteric, etc) to list or pick a favorite, doesn't seem fair.
Specially if I count the ones from earlier games.
But the first one I always think of whenever "the Books of the Elder Scrolls" comes up is "Banker's Bet" from Daggerfall.

I enjoyed Thief of Virtue for some reason.
There is an infinite number of alternate universes, which means all books are non-fiction.

I did enjoy the 'Dance in a Fire' series. The Ruins of Kemel-Ze is another one that's worth reading.

2920 series, Palla, Trap, The Exodus. If I had to choose it'll be Palla.

The Red Kitchen Reader wins points for the nostalgia. And I'm not talking about the food...

My favorite new book so far is the Madmen of the Reach. I like the Forsworn, so I'm interested in any history on them. And the Dance in the Fire series has been a favorite of mine also.

Re: Favorite Book
I didnt realize it til now but there is a cookbook in Skyrim that has a real recipe. lol. its called "Uncommon Taste".
I found out about it on this channel on youtube called Feast of Fiction and there is an episode where they use the "Uncommon Taste" book to make "Sunlight Souffle". It actually works and looks pretty good!
If you are interested look for the book in the game and make some!! im not sure where the book is exactly but i do remember seeing it a lot.
here is the video

My favorite book would have to be Sithis. I like it because it brings you in depth to the story of Sithis and the Night Mother. So let the Night Mother watch over you and let Sithis be with you.

Re: Favorite Book
Ironically, that book seems to be Sixth House propaganda, so it's funny the Dark Brotherhood have it lying around.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

The Wolf Queen, The Real Barenziah and A Dance In Fire are all good reads. Also, any of those "Ancient Tales of the Dwemer" (The Ransom of Zarek, Chimarvamidium etc.) are pretty good too.
So say we all.
