The Ritual of Fatal Beauty

Acquire:

Dwemer oil, three nightshades and a source of fire.

"Could you fidn the other two ingredients?" Uairrian asked. "I have some oil in my collection somehwere."

"Fatal beauty?" Vyna asked, rummaging through drawers to find the oil.

[JVElEven]

"Yes," Uairrian called out. "Winter ritual. Something about the ice, if I recall..."

"It's a minor ritual, but one of my favourites."

[Eltee]

"Sounds nice." Vyna said, handing Uairrian a phial of oil and a packet of matches.

[JVElEven]

"Yes, yes... This is why I needed the Nightshades. I had run out, you see. I normally keep one or two around..."

She shook her head. "Anyway... I takes place on 24 Morning Star, which is in two days. On the two days before it, we have to burn a Nightsahde on the altar. Today is the frst flowerburning. Would you have the honors?"

Uairrian pointed at a small, metal bowl on the altar, where the Nightshade flower was lying.

Vyna hesitantly picked up a match. "So... I just... Set it on fire?"

"You pour a little oil on it, and light it on fire, yes," Uairrian said.

"It's unimaginative, but I didn't invent it."

[Leyyuce]

Gin-Lei firmly shook Iarion's hand and then began toward his workshop, eager to craft the circlets that Uarrian had requested.

[Eltee]

Vyna poured a few drops of oil onto the violet bloom, struck the match, and set it alight.

"Well," replied Duncan slowly, not wishing to upset the bosmer. "She'd commited suicide. And wrote a note. I believe she was going to spill the beans in my office yesterday, but when I told her to wait it put her off. A pity."

Surprised, Faralen sat down hard on a nearby stool, looking at Duncan with wonder. "My goodness," she murmured, not sure what else to say. Though she had not known the maid very well she couldn't imagine the woman being the one responsible for such a horrid mess. She sat there for a moment, dumbfounded, and then eyed him inquisitively. "Had... Wh-what about...well, the Prince's housecarl?"

Uairrian looked at te flower as it quickly disintegrated.

"It's never said me much, this particular ritual..." she remarked.
