But you understand what I mean? And considering one of my characters was infected with vampirism they may be dealing with me for a LONG time......

Re: Paarthurnax (Main Quest Spoilers)
I killed him. It was a tough decision but I had to do it.
I had 2 people in the Blades and did not want to lose them. Also I found Paarth's dialogue kind of annoying, where he would always say the dragon language words, then give you the translation. Just a personal thing I think.
From an in-game standpoint... if you have to make a choice, consider that dragons are basically terrorizing Skyrim, killing people... when was the last time Paarth got off his mountain and killed a dragon? Also, if it is humans vs dragons, my human character is siding with humans. The Blades being reborn and killing the dragons is more important than keeping one dragon alive.
So I had a few glasses of wine (to dull the pain) ran in there with dragonrend and finished him off quickly.

Re: Paarthurnax (Main Quest Spoilers)
With my first character, I let him live. But with my current character, I have planned to kill him. That leads me to think, what is the good point to do it.
First, how do you use blades? What they do, can you get them follow you, or what? Second, I have understood that you can't get word wall locations from Greybeards after killing Paarthurnax, right? So it would be best to collect them first, then progress further?

I have probably missed something, as with my first character i didn't even realize I can recruit blades during main quest. From what point you can start recruiting them, and what you can do with them?vorenus73 wrote:I had 2 people in the Blades and did not want to lose them.

#1 I'm not sure when you can start to be honestMaKo wrote:

#2 they will follow you and fight dragons, IMO VERY efective, way more efective then what the grayberds do.
Basicly when you go draong hunting you get a person trained to fight dragons.
Only really afective if your playing on high difictys really.

Re: Paarthurnax (Main Quest Spoilers)
Well, TBH, fighting dragons isn't ever really a big issue unless you get to like lv50 and your character somehow really sucks, Ancient Dragons hurt a bit on higher difficulties. I find that Shadowmere basically takes care of any issue I have with dragons though, as he can tank an ancient dragon on master no problem, and I just wack at the dragon's wings while Shadowmere tanks.Wolfie wrote:#1 I'm not sure when you can start to be honestMaKo wrote:

The blades can tell you where dragons are, and the Greybeards can point out where shout walls are, that's the basic difference. I find that walls are rarer than dragon souls though, and also the meditation bonus to shouts that Paarthurnax provides is pretty cool too.

Like I said, only on higher difictys, playing on master and high levels, basicly any companion dose it, be it the horse or the blades becuse they do same damnge as if it was any other dificty why you only do two times less.BrothaDesmund wrote: Well, TBH, fighting dragons isn't ever really a big issue unless you get to like lv50 and your character somehow really sucks, Ancient Dragons hurt a bit on higher difficulties. i find it very easy to get world walls, more so since after a while you know where they all are anywyas, i cant always fin dragons.

I fast trave a lot only come acroos one evrey now and then, many pepole have the problem fo one dragon in a 50+ hour game.Hissien wrote:Yea you can...... Ever heard of shear point? Mount anthor? As for respawing, AFAIK it requires you to not enter its cell for 30 days... thats a long time to stay away more so since they cells are the "outsdie world" which is quite big in hiw much one cell is.
More so if your like me and hate to wait 30 in game days just to do that.

Oh you can love him, in fact on lower difficulty I save him because, like you said, dragons are too easy then and the blades are a waste IMO but on higher? When most shouts cant hit the dragons I'd prefer an army of dragon killings blades : D

Can't argue with that. Though I really hate delphine. Esbern has a cool voice so he can live but delphine is just.....Wolfie wrote:Oh you can love him, in fact on lower difficulty I save him because, like you said, dragons are too easy then and the blades are a waste IMO but on higher? Re: Paarthurnax (Main Quest Spoilers)
Yes, this was my plan, and with great misery in my heart I went to the top of the mountain, only to find out that with this character, Paarthurnax is unkillable. He just sits there, I shoot arrows, and he regenerates health. So, although I had long discussion with Esbern and Delphine, started to understand them - especially during the peace negotiations - and decided to do what they wanted, sorry, I just can't kill Paarthurnax. How could I explain to them, that it is a bug in a game that prevents me to do that, not that I wouldn't do it if it was possible?!?MaKo wrote:With my first character, I let him live. Re: Paarthurnax (Main Quest Spoilers)
I did not kill Paarthurnax. But I did FUS-RO-DAH Delphine off the top of Throat of the World for even daring to suggest such a thing.
