That is what's missing from Skyrim! Finally remembered the awesome roleplaying days of going to sleep in roadside inns after a hard day of hunting and looting. That brings back memories...

And almost every inn had a backstory. the drunken dragon... Loved when I got called a pal for some reason. Well, that was after spending a day in Mania talking to golden saints so it felt awesome...
I agr 101% also almost every inn was unique!

I hate how someone will watch a dragon slaughter their father, or brother, or whatever, and not seem to care at all.

Guards aren't as helpful. And people don't have as much to say as they did in Morrowind.

Guards aren't as helpful but they're clearly more alive than any normal people.

Of course they're not very helpful, they've all taken arrows to the knee.

That was sort of funny for some reason. But on a more serious note, the guards in Oblivion gave you directions, looked professional and had Wes Johnson's voice so they were miles better.

I wish they'd tell you WHO put a hit on you via the Dark Brotherhood. I'd like to go find them and show them my dagger right about now. Grr.

Oh I have FUN with this one. Some Khajit dressed all in black, running in the open towards me, while yelling at me (yyyyaaaaahhhhhhh.......bet he was last in his class in Assassin School), I normally have enough time to put a single arrow through his face, without breaking stride........

idiot.

My first run through, I did not destroy the dark brotherhood. Now on my wood elf, I think I'll destroy those heartless stupid murderers. Especially after sending a hit out on the Dovahkiin!

The soundtrack is really unnoticeable even if it is huge. I just found out how long it is.

Oblivion was epic when Auriel's Ascension played. I have so many associations with that track... First time in the shivering isles, Wandering around in the Jerall mountains...

Not a single track I can remember from Skyrim. Probably due to the OST being so varied.

My dog companion.. Cute, vicious fighter.. Dumb as a box of rocks. In a nord ruin, deep into the depths I was about to lay the smackdown on a dragur but quickly jumped over a pressure plate leading to unknown pain. I didn't turn around fast enough to warn Meeko, and he stepped on it, sat down on it, and stood there staring at me whimpering while thousands of darts thunk'd into his thick, thick skull. He died right there.

Stupid dog. Ugh. Why does everything I own DIE!?

I've talked to guards oh so many times, but they never said the "Arrow to the knee" phrase, not once! Image
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
But why bounce around to the same damn song?

Followers and those huge swinging traps.... You could stand there for hours and days and the follower will always ran over the trigger, then be pushed back from the trap, crowl in near death for a while and then run again on the trigger....

That the Dremora in Skyrim are actually dark elves with a darker skin tone and some horns.

Because you didn't use the console to make them essential. It's the only way anything will survive around us players. As M'aiq says, M'aiq has heard that it is dangerous to be your friend."

No, I am playing on XBox, I don't have a gaming computer. I have a tiny little netbook that is just competent enough for Facebook. Harumph.
