What is YOUR favorite race? And why?
What is it about them that you like? What race do you hate the most?
My favorite race are the Altmer. Why? Magic. Sure other races can become as good as or better than them, but I like using a ton of magic in the beginning. Pure offensive magic.
Least favorite? Well..... That would be imperials, what are they there for? they just seem a little out classed by their nord counter parts. But they have to be doing something right as they had a massive empire going.

I have nothing for or against any "race". It's individual and faction attitude that ticks me off. Those Thalmor Justiciars are a bunch of Imp Stools.

Imperials, because they are so normal, yet so interesting imo.

Nords followed closely by Redguards. Their cultures and attitudes reflect how I feel personally. They're also the two groups of Men that remained free while others were still enslaved by the Mer.
Re: What is YOUR favorite race? And why?
I picked Brenton for several reasons. I think the natural magic resistance is very usefull for any build. I think there shorter height makes all the armor look better, and i think the female Brentons look best. My second fav is a tie between the imperials and the khajiit. I like the imperial luck passive power and i like the bounses to sneak of the khajiit.

Re: What is YOUR favorite race? And why?
There is also a thread on what race you play as. I'm going to assume this is meant to be different so I won't merge them (yet), but check that out, too!
As for my favorite race in Skyrim...I'm not quite sure. My favorite TES race in general is the Bosmer, because I just think they're really neat lore and ability wise, but I never actually play one. Now that each race has a real unique physical look, it's really helped change my opinion on all of them, to be honest. I also have new respect for the Altmer given the whole lore of the Fourth Era. I always knew they were sneaky and up to something, but seeing that they can kick butt as the Thalmor - totally respectable.

Well it is to see why people like which race and what ones they hate, I'm using it to see if their favorite races reflects their hated ones.

Re: What is YOUR favorite race? And why?
I like Bretons for more than just how they play. I like the look, the lore and I like half elves in general in fantasy. However making awesome spellswords does help.

Bosmer. Because I am a thief and a sniper at heart. I can't play any other way. Tried it, couldn't do it.

I'm going to pull this out of left field but...... I'm making a character and it will either be Merlin or Gandalf. Which should I use.? Gandalf Nord. Merlin (also young merlin or old merlin?) Breton.

Orc Mage. Wear orcish armor, use destruction spells, act like you're from Lord of the Rings. =) Hissien
As for Gandalf vs. Merlin, Gandalf never really seemed to do anything very 'wizardy', while Merlin used charms and behind-the-scenes magic.
Gandalf: use a steel sword, cloth robes, carry a staff, and never use spells. only skill is Speech 100
Merlin: staff, cloth, dagger, gold circlet, alchemy, illusion, alteration (side note, actor who played Merlin in Excalibur died a couple days ago, penniless)
------------------
I dislike the 'man' people in this game. Humans seemed petty, selfish, flawed. Human, I suppose. While the 'mer' races seemed to me to be better. I dunno. It's probably just a matter of density: not enough 'mer' to have a wide enough range to provide enough to dislike.

Bretons are my favorite, since they're attractive, gracious, intelligent, and versatile, though I harbor a soft spot for both Khajiit and Dunmer. A Khajiit was my first character in any ES game and a Dunmer was my best character in Morrowind.

Bretons are my favorite. (Why are they so popular? Do people realize that though they're technically "half elves", they're classified as humans and more human than elf. TES isn't the Lord of the Rings.) I also like Altmer, Khajiit, and Bosmer. :]

Lol, not really, sorry if you think so. Just, everyone says "They're half elves which makes them the best omg". . >_> and I suppose you're right. Re: What is YOUR favorite race? And why?
I picked Orc, although I don't have one on the go...yet.
They look fantastic, and their daily power makes any hardened bandit chief turn into Spongebob Squirty-pants
I will be making an Orc mage soon i think - the daily power will help in the early stages before I get stagger on destruction magic. An Orc strolling round in full Dragon Plate or Daedra armour - nothing new - until he whips out his empty hands and starts chuckin Lightning bolts around like a pro
Infact........I'm going to do it NOW!!
