Dundalk
Somewhere in the European Commonwealth would actuallly be pretty cool. They probably wouldn't have supermutants but it is like Silent Hill: Homecoming having Pyramid Head. While people like him it would have been better if he wasn't there and they just made different monsters for the setting.

Oooh, I see a Fallout discussion thread! Time to put my knowledge to work. XD

Honestly, I'd like to see a Fallout Game based in China. They put a lot of detail into the country in the lore, so I'd like to see how it turned out itself.
I'd also want a Fallout Game in Louisiana, simply because that's where I live and I want to see how the place turned out.

I dont care where the next game might be set as long as it isn't set on a desert. Fallout NV somtimes got really boring when wandering about.
3 was sometimes really good like in the DC Ruins where everything is so compact. It was really easy to get stuck into Fallout 3.

If they do Tallaght then they can do a "retro" interpretation and set it in 2012, won't be too far off.

There's enough of a tease about the UK in the lore of the series that makes me want to play a game set there. We know it was part of the war, because it was a major player in the preceding resource wars. And both Allistair Tenpenny and Desmond Lockhart are both from the UK, so there are people there with enough capability to cross the Atlantic. Sadly, I doubt it will ever happen. It's probably one of those things they'll constantly allude to but never show. And looking at the wiki article on the subject, I seem to be right. I guess there's hope they'll make that resource wars game someday though.

I don't believe that - and the only British person I ever found in Fallout was this;

Loxley - the Thieves Guild Head.

And honestly, how on earth can someone in a post apocalyptic world (let alone a destroyed EU before the great War to begin with) cross continents?

Not even the Brotherhood has this power.

A boat? What about nuclear-sea monsters?

Or raiders? Or Bob?

The fact remains that Tenpenny came to America to seek his fortune. Don't ask me how. That would be a silly idea.

if they set the next one in Britain, it could work cos maybe the war evaporated some of the atlantic ocean, and the north sea/english channel might now be areas of exposed lowland which people can walk across to/from continental europe (this was the case 150,000 years ago, the nuclear winter may have re distributed the water into the polar ice caps hence less sea)

also, shallower Atlantic means less distance to travel by boat, and the intriguing possibility of exploring shipwrecks and exposed coral/underwater style scenery

I've said before that London, even circa the 50s, would be an absolutely ideal place to set a Fallout game in similar to 3. It's got distinct landmarks, urban jungles, loads of suburbs that can be destroyed to make room for the wasteland like with DC, and Hyde frigging Park.

Anyway, on NV, has anyone else noticed the weird Khan on the right in the starting cut scene? He blinks too much, and has an extremely weird expression on his face. :?

Alright, NCR has re-taken NCRCF, and I'm caught inbetween whom to choose as the new Mayor.

I can choose Meyers or do a science-upgrade (my science skill is high enough) to make the robot the sheriff.

And honestly? They both seem like good candidates. One tries to bring justice rather prematurely while the other is a bit slow in examinations due to just being a tour-robot.

Any suggestions?

Pick whichever one you think would be best. I tend to go for Meyers because I think Wasteland Justice is a far better option than a robot with very limited programming power.

I picked Meyers (as well as help the NCR some road troubles and see Legio de Caesar burn Nipton to the ground), and now I am going to complete the Goodsprings quest as well as some others.

I can either go to Novac now, attempt to get ED-E as a partner (need sensor modules) or go to HELIOS.

Loxley is cool.
I would love to see a Fallout game set in London around 2181 (between Fallout and Fallout 2.) Still no Super Mutants or Enclave Bethesda. You can make a good Fallout game set in London without them, they would just make it worse as they would make no sense being there, I know you can come up with good creatures on your own.

Then Begin Again Matt. In other news Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition (has all the add ons and base game) has a trailer. That is J.E Sawyer singing the song in the trailer by the way.

A buddy of mine and I had a conversation a few days ago about where the next fallout should take place... and we decided either New York/London or chicago (the fallout lore around chicago is pretty sweet)

New York is overdone and I don't want to go back to somewhere i've already been. London, Canada or New Orleans could be good. Then again should Fallout leave the USA? I count Canada as USA in Fallout because it was annexed.

Ohhh ... where's Fallout 4. I played Fallout 3 and New Vegas to death, and can't bear to replay them because they won't be the same. Damn it Matt. I was happy earlier.

Fallout 4 on Skyrim's engine (or hopefully an even better one!) will be amazing. I can't wait to even hear the first news about it, and I will probably drop Skyrim for it. I just loved the dark and twisted quests, stories, and scenery you got in 3 and NV. I personally want to see Fallout 4 set in Seattle. If Bethesda gets creative with it I can't even imagine how cool it would be.

Seattle would be interesting, but I think they'll avoid it for a little while just because the skyline would look too similar to New Vegas' thanks to the Lucky 38's space needle rip-off. It might sound like a goofy reason to pass on the city, but I wouldn't put it past them. As much as I hate to say, and despite the cliche, I think a Fallout set in the area around New York City would be interesting. Other thoughts I've had would be Chicago or Detroit, just to see what they do with the places in the alternate timeline. I'd really like to see them set it in the Denver area too since it was supposed to be in Van Buren, but since most of the content form VB ended up at least referenced, if not out-right included, in New Vegas, I doubt Beth/Obsidian/whoever will see any reason to use any more content from the unreleased entry.
