You guys of course noticed the few gates at the edges of skyrim that can't be entered? Looks like the obvious hook to me for DLC expansion areas.

Re: DLC Speculation
Rebuild Helgen and name me Overlord of Helgen!....
No but seriously, I would love a 'time lapse' regeneration of the town (and quite possibly name me lord under the leadership of Jarl of Falkreath) and much like the thieves guild, do missions or little side quests and more people come and re-inhabit the village as a result. This should just be a small DLC if anything though. Maybe a little part of a much bigger one. Probably never going to happen, but I like it.
Gives me more of a reason to go to Falkreath at least... I never seem to go in that direction.

Re: DLC Speculation
I think that a Thalmor follow up is quite likely, considering the fact that both sides (Empire and the Stormcloaks) despise the Thalmor, it would work out very well and finally make you see the results of your loyalty to either side because there are still some folk in Skyrim complaining about the war when it is over.
A Daedric realm would be brilliant, but I am asking for far too much here I suppose. Imagine going to Moonshadow, The Colored Rooms, The Hunting Grounds, Clavicus Vile's Realm or even The Shivering Isles, after all, you do have a standing invitation to have a strawberry tart at New Sheoth.

Possible expansions
There were probably tons of topic on this matter but I would like to post my opinions on this matter if you don't mind.
There are many spoilers so don't read this if you don't want them and not only Skyrim ones
What is in bold what is most logical by me
So there are options that they can include:
Daedric realms
Azura's Moonshadow - Possible but since you can really offend her(or her priestess) in her quest I see this as less likely
Boethiah's Attribution's Share - Been there in Oblivion not much to see(her quest tournemnt)
Mehrunes Dagon's Deadlands - Been there in Oblivion (Gates)
Sheogorath's Madhouse - Nice place but we saw it and developers don't repeat thing out here
Malacath's Ashpit - By description it look like it isn't nice place (not for mortals) so it is out as well or is it
Meridia's Colored Rooms - This is possible one
Hircine's Hunting Grounds - This would be fun but there is to much of him Bloodmoon so I don't see this as good option
Hermaeus Mora's Apocrypha - Not sure what to do here really
Namira's Scuttling Void - No mortal ever returned well it is time for Dovahkiin to be first
Peryite's Pits - Been there in Oblivion not nice place
Clavicus Vile's Realm - Seen in game Redguard so I guess this isn't option
Sanguine's Realms - We saw one in his quest here in Skyrim so it is out as well
Vaermina's Quagmire - Not nice place if you ask me I wouldn't like to go here
Nocturnal's Evergloam - To much of her in Skyrim so she is out
Mephala's Web - same as for Namira
Other realms
Chimera of Desolation - Really possible
Gaiar Alata or Paradise - saw it in Oblivion
Havoc Wellhead - Possible as well and I hope this would add some new Daedra
Soul Cairn - Undead realm I think people would like this
Island (North of Skyrim?) - This is by me biggest possible thing to happen. Posssible options include:
Atmora - Real home of Nords up North
Esroniet - unknown island to north between Tamriel and Akavir
Akavir - Home of Akavir this would be good thing
Pyandonea - Home of Sea Elves, I would really like this one but I see it as hard one maybe Summerset Isle expansion
There are some Island that are by me not possible so I will just name them: Aldmeri, Cathnoquey, Esroniet, Roscrea, Thras, Yneslea, Yokuda
Solstheim - It is in Morrowind and we saw so I say this is by me less possible but some people by what I read meantion it so I think I should put it here in any case
City expansion like Tribunal
This could be anything and even if it is for me most likely is Stros M'Kai(seen in Redguard?) or Imperial city(Seen in Oblivion?) but this could be anything
Parts of other provinces
Well this is like the least possible option since it was until now one province one game(or once half and all) but if it is I guess Morrowind maybe but I will leave to that
Guilds in expansions
I would like again to see EEC since I like their quests
What do you think of this I would really like to hear what you think about this and sorry on bad English and small vocabulary not really my first language.

Re: DLC Speculation
Bethesda RPGs aren't the type of games to have followups, though.Sahqonnax wrote:I think that a Thalmor follow up is quite likely, considering the fact that both sides (Empire and the Stormcloaks) despise the Thalmor, it would work out very well and finally make you see the results of your loyalty to either side because there are still some folk in Skyrim complaining about the war when it is over.
Owing to the open nature of such games, the Expansions are designed such that they could happen at any time before, during, or after any of the events of the main game. The official timelines of previous games all treat them as if they happened at the same time as the main events of the game.*
Having an expansion alter the status of a major group in Skyrim's plot, such as the Thalmor or Empire, would contradict badly with the game as it currently exists, so it's probably not going to happen. They could work the Thalmor or Empire into an expansion, sure, but they won't do it in a way that contradicts the MQ or any of the other vanilla content.
(* The Tribunal expansion of Morrowind is a notable exception. It's theoretically possible to complete this before doing the MQ for Morrowind, which results in a weird situation where you're regarded as Nerevarine even if you haven't done any of the MQ, and Sotha Sil and Almalexia end up dead even before the enchantments on Lorkhan's Heart are removed. However, the devs probably assumed any character strong enough to survive in Mournhold and its sewers must have beaten the MQ.)
SI would be a little redundant since it's already been done. Maybe two or three games in the future when graphics are vastly expanded. I'd love to see other realms. I think it's more likely we'll be visiting some remote island like we did in Bloodmoon. Maybe one of the ones between Akavir and Tamriel..or maybe Thras. That would be cool. It's also possible we'll visit isolated parts of Morrowind, Cyrodill or Hammerfell since the basic land masses are actually already coded into the game and are beyond those gates mentioned earlier.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Re: Possible expansions
I would much rather believe they would make a Dwemer-centered expansion (Maybe they'd return).
Or something that could add a conclusion to the Forsworn uprising, and (hopefully) the ascendance of an independent Reach. This could alternately include bits of Eastern High Rock, namely the province named the "Western Reach".

I agree on the Forsworn part, but we should be able to destroy them or help them. (depends on the character, but I'd personally help them)JVElEven wrote:I would much rather believe they would make a Dwemer-centered expansion (Maybe they'd return).

I also think a driving the Thalmor out of Skyrim/helping them spread their elven ways in Skyrim would be interesting.
But I don't want to see any "Dwarves are secretly alive everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" because that would be predictable and draw away from the setting of TES thus far . . . steampunk would ruin the series, in my opinion. Dwemer are gone, Snow elves are Falmer, the end.

Yes, I'm not against a Dwemer storyline. But over a Forsworn/Thalmor quest? Expansions to the guilds? I'd rather take the latter(s).JVElEven wrote:Point taken. But at least they could tell us what really happened.

I'd like to share my opinion:
I doubt we'll see Ashpit (Malacath's realm) because of the fact that there is no solid ground and a lot of dust so you must use magical breathing means and levitation to even survive.
Akavir and all the other continents are rather immense for a DLC, and deserve a standalone game.
I think you did get to visit the Chimera of Desolation in a game. Battlespire I think, pardon me if that's wrong.
I doubt they will incorporate a Realm because the Shivering Isles was the first time a Daedric realm was included in a DLC I believe. I think they might take us by surprise big time.

Re: DLC Speculation
I'm doubtful. The same could be said for the abruptly-ending roads in Oblivion. Skyrim just tries to make it more lore friendly by making it appear that the roads continue into the other provinces.MerlinWarlock wrote:You guys of course noticed the few gates at the edges of skyrim that can't be entered? Gaiar Alata was destroyed though. Unless that single page from the Mysterium Xarxes up in Dawnstar could be used to recreate it, I'd say we won't be going back there again.Aleksa wrote:Gaiar Alata or Paradise - saw it in Oblivion

Re: Possible expansions
They pretty much already have. All the relevant information is contained in a quest in Morrowind. MK let the cat out of the bag once, too, and this is one piece of lore he'd definitely actually know since he was heavily involved in the Dwemer background lore. They're not really dead or gone. They're the skin of Numidium, which is much an idea as a physical golem, and it doesn't currently exist on Tamriel.JVElEven wrote:Point taken. But at least they could tell us what really happened.

Re: DLC Speculation
Here's what I would like to see from the upcoming dlc.
I would like to go to another province definetly that's the main thing im hoping for, I want to be able to continue the guild questlines and be able to expand the guilds that have gotten weak such as the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood and build sanctuaries in another province, and I would like to be able to have a rival faction for each guild in that province that you have to fight against to gain a presence in that province I think that would be really cool it would make you feel like you are actually making something happen for the guild if they did this it would add a whole new questline to the guilds with you as the leader going to war against the rival guilds, getting recruits, training recruits possibly, sparring with recruits it would be great to be able to actually do something as the leader it seems like once you become the leader it's over but if they added this on you would actually have something to do and maybe for the Dark Brotherhood you could restablish the Black Hand too it would make sense. Something that I also think would be really cool is being able to join a guild in the province your at so say for instance the Morag Tong I think that would be really cool, also barbers that would be really nice.
Those where my wishes for the Skyrim dlc in order from greatest to least hope your watching Bethesda thank you and thank you for creating such great games.

It would be cool to see a return of the Morag Tong, in whatever form they would be in. Who knows, Eno Hlaalu might even show up again.
It would be cool to see another DB vs MT like there was in Morrowind, except you're playing the Dark Brotherhood. The newly rebuilt Dark Brotherhood, and like Assassin540 said, rebuilding the Black Hand. And I liked in Morrowind how there were quests to recruit Dark Brothers to the Morag Tong, so maybe you could do the same thing.

And I liked in Morrowind how there were quests to recruit Dark Brothers to the Morag Tong, so maybe you could do the same thing.
