Dovakhiin

Post by POMC S117 »

What armour would you think the Dovakhiin should wear? What enchantments. Skills, perks and race do you think makes the perfect Dragonborn? For me, it would be Studded Armour, hide bracers, iron boots, iron helmet, banded iron shield and a steel sword. Just like in the trailer. A Nord would be good and I'd put a fire and frost resistance enchantment on the sword. I would invest in stamina and health. Archery, Light armour, Heavy armour, One Handed and Block.

Surprised how many people can still misspell 'Dovahkiin'. Pretty sure he wears iron gauntlets not hide bracers, at least that's how it's depicted in the image they modeled the statues from. Though didn't the Dovahkiin not wear any gauntlets in the gameplay trailer?

There is no 'perfect' Dragonborn, as that would completely null the point of character customization in this game, how you can be whatever you play, there is no 'perfect' build. Be a Bosmeri warrior or an Orsimeri thief, or a Nord mage if you wish. You get five to ten point bonuses for race-specialized skills but they don't have any impact on your gameplay, though I understand that people still prefer the archetypes of 'Nord/Reguard/Orsimer warrior' or 'Bosmer/Argonian/Khajiit thief' or 'Dunmer/Altmer/Breton mage'. There is, however, a perfect Dragonborn in the sense the Dragonborn build perfectly fits your play style if that's what you're referring to.

Personally, I have a Dunmeri spellsword Dragonborn. He specializes in destruction magic, one-handed, and light armor primarily, and invests in stamina and magicka. He has fortify health enchantments on his necklace/ring, fortify magicka regeneration and fortify destruction damage enchantments on his armor, and his ebony sword is enchanted with fire damage.

I meant personally. Not what makes a canon Dovahkiin or the best one but what you like playing as. Is there a shield that has both frost and fire resistance enchantments?

You could get the Elemental Resistance perk in the Block tree.

Why would you invest in both Light and Heavy Armor? Pick one and you're set. You don't need both.

Dragon Armor of course, as a warning to all and every dragon who may try to kill him, and Daedric weapon, just because they look cool.

Because Iron Armour is Heavy and Studded Armour is Light.

Dragon armour. You kill them, you wear their "skin" as a trophy. And you're the only person in the whole of Skyrim (I'd guess Tamriel) who would wear it.

That OP is right. I've actually made a "canon" Nord ranger exactly like that, though it's banded iron boots and iron gauntlets.

Hrm, Dunmeri spellsword . . . read the bolded, if you would. It's just the fact that those races work best, no one ever said you have to do this or that.

I think you're pretty spot on. The stereotpyical Dragonborn would be a buff-blond Nord wearing the armor stated above.

I just went with the default Nord face and hair, and stuck on an iron helmet and studded armor. Might not be practical, but I'll be damned if it's not cool to play as the guy from the trailer.

The default Nord face works for the Dragonborn, besides, if you put the iron helm and never take it off it doesn't really mater what face you made...

Just make some adjustments with the beard and hair color/type if you want and that's it. The face is the least of your problems.

I go for the appearance of the Dovahkiin as depicted on Alduin's Wall. Which is Blades Equipment by the looks of it. However, I may be wrong.
Do you mind? I'm doing the fishstick. It's a very delicate state of mind.
