It is the year 2525. Five years ago, the Covenant found and attacked the agricultural planet called Harvest. It was sudden. It was deadly. It was avenged. At first, the battles were going in our favour. But then they found a weakness. The Covenant have huge ships, miles long, and have this ability to "glass" planets. Scorching them with super-hot plasma that can turn matter into glass. They ruthlessly attacked and bombarded the planet with millions of lives lost. At first, I was assigned to relieving evacuation centres under attack from the Covenant, but as the fighting intensified, I was send on suicide missions. I had to smash into Covenant ships and disable them, from the inside. It was hard work. Many of my fellows never managed to get out.
And this is where you start. We are in a Briefing Room aboard the Halcyon-Class Cruiser Pillar of Autumn. We are planning to assault a Covenant Destroyer. We may not survive.

The briefing room in the Pillar of Autumn was in upheaval. Officers and Captains were arguing over what path of battle to take while others shouted and demanded a retreat, some even suggested that they should take the enemy head on.

The Admiral laughed. "We can't take on a Covenant Cruiser that since. It will tear us to pieces."

Just as he mocked this idiotic idea, a UNSC Frigate was annihilated by the "Shadow of Transgression". There was a huge ball of orange, red and yellow and then a shockwave that rippled through the space debris. It shook the Pillar of Autumn and the personnel that were standing immediately fell to the ground.

The Admiral stopped laughing and turned to John. "John." He barked. "What do you think. You're an ODST. What do you think."

John, who was sitting quietly, jumped to his feet. "Sir, I believe that the best course of action would be to send me and the other ODSTs into the ship and we could disable the weapons and the shields, leaving it vulnerable to a MAC blast."

The Admiral smiled. "Well, get to the barracks. Tell the ODSTs that they are about to jump into Hell and back!"

[Eltee]

Spoiler:

Oh, dammit.

Haley was sitting on her bunk in her fatigues, cleaning her MA37.

[POMC S117]

John rushed into the Barracks. The alarms whirred, the soldiers began to rush and the Tannoy shouted. "All ODSTs, report to the Pod Bay, this is an emergency. This is not a drill! This is not a drill! This is an emergency."

He ran through teh corridor, dodging men and women carrying guns. He spotted Haley and called her over.

[Sav]

Adam sat near Haley, quietly. He was dazing off into his own little world, his hand covering part of his nose, a habit he had.

[Eltee]

"Oh, sh*t!" Haley muttered. "Sir! What's going on?" She asked John, hurriedly pulling on her armour.

[POMC S117]

"We've decided to attack the ship! Adam, over here. Grab your armour and weapons from your locker. We'll meet the others in the pods."

[Eltee]

Haley nodded jerkily, strapping on what remained of her armour and grabbing her helmet. Out of her locker, she retrieved her M6C handgun and three grenades, in addition to her MA37.

Her armour was largely standard issue, with the exception of a comm unit on the side of her helmet. She had scratched the constellation Cygnus onto her left paldroun. She sprinted to the pod bay.

[Sav]

"Time for some action." Adam said aloud. He rushed over to the locker, and put his armor on. It was normal ODST armor, which had a gold stripe down it. His visor had a slightly silver tint to it, almost unnoticeable. He pulled out a sniper rifle and an smg, and followed the others.

[POMC S117]

John shoved on his helmet and began to tighten his shoulder pads. He was wearing standard-issue ODST armour but reinforced it wit some pieces of metal that he had welded onto the elbows, shoulders and knees. He grabbed his BR55HB and MA5B and followed Haley.

[Eltee]

"Umm... Not to tell you your business, but... Two rifles?" Haley said, raising an eyebrow. "It'll be cramped onboard."

[POMC S117]

"We'll need them, trust me." Smiled John, showing his white teeth.

[Eltee]

"Hm. You'll need mobility more." Haley warned.

[John117]

The black mask seemed to stare at Marcus, something he notices every time he puts on the armor. The helmet fit nicely, so Marcus grabbed his SMG and M6C pistol and jogged to the pods.

[Eltee]

"Marcus." Haley greeted him with a nod. She donned her own helmet, and unpolarized the visor. "Okay, etails, John. What are we doing?"

[DerangedPickle]

Patrick heard the call to arms and quicky put his armour on, it was completely black, it had a shamrock painted on the breast, a little adjustment he'd made, grabbing his battle rifle and handgun from his locker he ran to the pods

"Right whats going on then?" He asked before putting his helmet on and making sure his rifle was ready.

[POMC S117]

"I'll tell you when we're in the pods!" He replied, sprinting down the passageway.

[Sav]

Adam quietly followed the group, his visor unpolorized.

[DerangedPickle]

"Christ." Patrick muttered from within his helmet, starting to run behind John, all the electronics in his helmet were up, comms, helmet light, HUD. Good, last time they malfunctioned he almost lost his arm due to a Brute in the dark.
