I sure didn't kill Vivec. I suspect we shall see his return before the end of time.

Although the destroying of the Heart made him mortal, so maybe not. I do doubt his dying, of course.
Re: What makes Morrowind so great?
it would have been nice if they made the completion of the MQ and the destruction of the Heart cause Vivec and Almalexia to not only become mortal, but rendered them powerless. Tribunal didn't really take this into account if the hero traveled to Mournhold after the MQ and the destruction of the Heart. how could Almalexia or Vivec either one retain their powers if they were derived from the Heart, and the Heart destroyed?

You could easily put it down to the fact that they 'absorb' power from the heart. The reason the Tribunal was weakening was because they where cut off from it due to Dagoth Ur capturing it. The heart being gone just stops the gods from absorbing any more power, and prevents them from reincarnating... therefore rendering them mortal... with some pretty grand power. The fact that they are so old and battle-wise means that they would be extremely powerful anyway.

Well I sure did. I believe he did include a secret message to the Nerevarine in his 36 sermons basically telling Ner to kill him. He became mortal after the Heart was destroyed anyway, buuuut .... they had already said in Oblivion that Vivec had mysteriously disappeared before the Red Year occurred. Some say he was taken by the daedra to stand trial for being a false god, or something like that.Gideon Dragontongue wrote:I sure didn't kill Vivec. Re: What makes Morrowind so great?
good points Dean. if I remember correctly, that actually was part of the Tribunal story line now that I think about it. Almalexia's power waning and driving her over the edge looking for a replacement source or something. that's the reason for some of the quests to put on a show of power to those beginning to question her authority and godhead.Dean wrote:You could easily put it down to the fact that they 'absorb' power from the heart.
