Leftover goodies !!

Post by philfredobob »

What will you leave behind ?
when your charecter eventually dies ,be it of natural causes , an arrow in the face , or a stampede of mad chickens , it doesnt matter how you die , all i want to know is :
1 - where are you gonna ask em to bury you ? (if there is anyone to do so for you :P ) and what kinda traps and stuff will be present to stop/test people trying to get to your body
2- what will you leave on your corpse or in the surrounding area for the next adventurer to come across you after hundreds of years ?

ok , thanks people , remember , this is just for fun :P

Well, I'll assume that my character meets their end inside a cave or dungeon, which means our stalwart adventurer will have to face the same perils as I.

And, as soon as they find my body (thus proving that they are just as skilled as me), my angry ghost will do anything and everything to disprove the notion that they are better than me.

What they'll pry from my cold(er), dead(er) fingers is the Dark Spark: an Ebony Bow with Shock Damage and Soul Trap.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

They're going to put me in a special new extension wing of the Whiterun Catacombs made just for the Dragonborn. There, I will live on as a Draugr, smashing adventurers against crypt walls with my undead Fus Ro Dah. If someone manages to take me down, they'll get the whole Oblivion Walker achievement all in one encounter.

Every few centuries or whatever, when something really strong threatens the people of Whiterun, legend says I'll emerge from my tomb and shout the enemy back to Oblivion.

As a character playing a (good) Dragonborn, burried either in Whiterun or somewhere at the Throat of the World. And I want to have a nice dungeon with me at the end. Not too big, I want visitors to come and be sad at my body, living to go back whereever they came from and tell their friends. :) My stormcloak character will go for Windhelm. Just a simple grave, because he is a simple man.
My mage/scholar but not much of a fighter unless necessary will either die in a dungeon and left their, or taken back to whereever I'll have a home by a follower. If I get burried I want a nice, big, family grave, with a staircase and a small dungeon which includes rooms for the dead which will not live again, though. His room will be full of books, including first prints and other rare editions. The room will be sealed forever! Maybe he will start a great library in life and get burried there.
And the Redguard who's ancestor has taken over most of Cyrodiil? If he's succesful and conquer Skyrim he'll get his own, huge Mausoleum, filled with treasures and my personal belongings, somewhere on a high mountain with a great view. If he fails he'll be thrown into a nameless grave or let to rot and be eaten by skeavers in the open air...
I also still want to make the most powerful sorcerer ever, which will be a rather evil man. He won't die, and if he does, he'll live on, either as a formless spectre in search for his body or he'll go parasite, taking over someone's body and using it to recover his own body, because only in his own body he can get as strong as he used to be before his death. Men will go look for my body, to destroy it. But they won't find it, and if they do, they won't survive. They will go crazy. Completely crazy by all souls died by my hand. Only he shall be immume to his enemy's souls, hopefully...
Me: "So, how did you get this rich?"
Random Jarl: "I'm the Jarl and so were my father, grandfather, and his father. How about you?"
Me: "I've just spent some days chopping wood."

My Dragonborn will spend some of his years meditating with Paarthurnax atop Monahven, before setting off to find an apprentice to teach the ways of battle and glory. In his last years, he will fight with his apprentice and willingly die at the hands of his apprentice, and atop Monahven a new word wall will be raised by Paarthurnax himself, and it will read thus:

Paarthurnax wahlaan qethsegol Eiswulf Strunlovaasii vahrukt, wo ko laas lost Dovahkiin, Kriid do Alduin, Hun do Keizaal, Saviik do fin Lein, arhk ko dinok arhk fin oblaan lost siiv vahzah drem. Aal ok zoor mahfaeraak kos dahmin, arhk aal rok siiv moro ko Sovngarde.

My character will be left in a HUGE dungeon that you must be sneaky and intelligent to solve the puzzles and complete the challenges. (Non-Hostile)
If anyone makes to my tomb, they will pray for my sneaky wisdom and earn a blessing that forever grants the ability to ask my ghost for advice.
If anyone finds my real tomb, then they are the reincarnation of me, and will get an ebony bow that grants powerful frost damage, and an ebony dagger that traps souls, plus the all of my knowledge of magic.

I will have a magnificent palace constructed, and deep within the earth beneat it (think Resident Evil style underground complex) I will have an elaborate tomb.

In some dungeons in Skyrim there are automated flame throwers which are powered by soul gems placed in a holder that magnifies their power. In the room before where my remains lie in piece, I will have a similar contraption set up to shoot at any adventurer who comes close. Except instead of a soul gem it will hold and fire wabbajack.

But that's just plan B. I'm only doing that if my plan A to usurp the throne of Mannimarco doesn't go to plan.
Look at Dervenin in SI. Look at him in Skyrim. Say no to drugs.

My caracters' remains will be brought home to Morrowind - as good Hadvar already stated in Helgen.

Adventurers who come after me will have to nag at Bethesda constantly to release a remake of this old classic game. Then they might be able to seek out my tomb which comes with a DLC in spring 2014...

I will be cremated in Whiterun and ashes kept or spread off the top of the Throat of the World. All my belongings will be given to my spouse Aela and my companions that are still alive.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

I've already killed my first character... The powerful arch Mage of the college of Winterhold died heroically while fighting an army of 5 dragons and 2 dragon priests that were attempting to over taking the college. With him fell J'zargo, Onmund and Nyria. His body was never found, but Toldfir says he saw him being thrown from the top of the arch mage's tower by the body of the last dragon left that he had just killed.

My character prefers cremation.
With a burial you only risk some random random dude raising you as their minion. No thank you.

You venture to the coldest, stormiest nook of Skyrim to find the tomb and power of the legendary Dovahkin, the Dunmer destruction mage Roskk. You survive his invisible fire runes, his soul gem powered traps, his mind warping magical room, and make it to the final room containing a battlemage clad in armor made of dragon bones wielding 2 Daedric greatswords. You discover the warrior was only trained as a bodyguard of the real test, his husband Revyn Sadri. On his body you find a note written in the language of dragons, with a list of dungeons on the bottom. You study and find the locations of the dungeons, located all around different areas of Tamriel. After many months of venturing to the dungeons, finding translations of dragon letters at the end of each, you find the note points to the middle of nowhere in Morrowind.
The castle in Morrowind is created completely from magicka, with 5 floors, filled with soul trapped enemies of Roskk. At the top, in the throne room, you face the ghost of Roskk, with his godly destruction magic and dragon shouts being thrown at you faster than you can think. You are F***ing Awesome enough to defeat his ghost, and you can finally claim his treasure. A note on his treasure chest reads:
"You can obviously tell I put a lot of work into hiding my power. You are definitely the second most worthy person ever to have it, the first being me of course. If you are a Mer, Argonian, Khajhit, or Orc, you may choose from my enchanted armors, robes, weapons, spell tomes, and research. If you are a human, this castle will implode by the time you finish reading this. F*** you."

I think Torrhen will want to be buried in a nice family plot outside Solitude overlooking the Fjord, along side his wife, Mjoll. In all likelihood, if he's dead, she died defending him.

Irriwen would want to be burnt, to enter Kyne's realm of the sky. She could care less about her ashes.

Llela, Llela Ienith, would want her ashes interred in her Family Tomb in the grasslands of Vvardenfell... If it still exists.

Optimus prime will slowly pass away after falling down a cliff, and his last act will be to lay a Fire Rune under himself so when he is found and someone tries to turn him over the rune will explode Red Dawn style.

Rovaanvulthur will have a burial at sea after an accident involving a werewolf, Chain Lightning, and Elsweyr fondoo.

Happy the Tenth, an Argonian, became an all-powerful wizard, and head of the College of Winterhold.

Shortly thereafter, he found himself desiring ways to expand his abilities and found none. Stricken by his own overwhelming sense of mortality, Happy unknowingly planted the first seed of a dark depression within himself. It began affecting him in small ways; he would be more careless, struggle to find the motivation to perform the most menial tasks, skip meals, and hole himself in his room for days on end.

Eventually, his empty pursuit of any flakes of meaning left in his life caught up with him. Seeped in his twisted depression, the thinning shell of a man climbed to the top of the highest tower in the college.

He told himself that if he truly had any meaningful purpose in his life, he would be carried away on the currents of the wind.

Happy never mated, had no remaining relatives, and nothing to carry on his legacy.

His crumpled body was found at the foot of the college's tall cliffside.

Oh my god I couldn't stop laughing. LOL Great job.

Belgarion's ashes will be thrown of the throat of the world, while his soul, though an Imperial's, is welcomed in Sovrngarde. He joins his Nordic Half- Brothers at the feast of Ysgramor. Sporadically his dark side of Nocturnal calls him to defend Nightingale Hall, but when he has finally done his duty, his soul transcends both Nightingale Hall and Sovrngarde, to the real afterlife, joining his father, amd his father's father, in the halls of time. He rests in peace, watching over teh world with a loving eye. But truly, he lives on. In the hearts and minds of the people he has met.

Future adventurers will find the body of Erendus Sul-Toros at the bottom of Bard's Leap Summit........ a few feet shy of the pool of water.

And the plundering adventurers will find 300 pounds o' crap on his corpse.

He didn't die a very dignified death

You'll find the idiotic orc warrior, Derpety Doo, a few years after Skyrim takes place, when he finally comes back down to Nirn after being in orbit due to him trying to destroy a giant camp with his bare hands. You'll probably find some radioactive orcish armor, and a nice cosmic orcish axe as well.
As an alternative, I'd like him to go into space after being sent flying by a giant and be reborn as the star child. (10 septims if you get the reference.)
