Today I saw my little brother on Steam for the first time in ages, so I sent him a message to say hi. He responded by sending me a text saying, "Don't interrupt my game [censored]."

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
haha nice.
The only contact I've had with my little bro since he went back to uni was me calling him fat on facebook. Oh and a phone call between him and my mum that I interrupted to tell him of my skyrim progress last week.
I have to finish packing.

I went tubing behind a boat today. Heaps good fun! Had a sick crash complete with ropeburn as well. Also, me and my mate swapped tubes a couple times while going 50 knots. Adrenaline rush!!

I've had a great day! I was awaken by phone ringing and a was a asked a lot of questions concerning a job I've applied for, bonus, this means my chances are good!
Also, I've signed up to get my driver's license finally - for way too long I've been without one, and I'd much appreciate one.
Oh yeah, and I made a brilliant super totally genious mega awesome lagsagna.

Chopped a tree down. Cut a tree up. Split the tree into fire wood. Stacked the fire wood.
...
No, no burning the fire wood. Yet. I'll do that tomorrow.
Oh, and I hauled some 2 dozen wheel barrow loads of sand and dirt, each weighing nearly 3x my weight (no joke), which, btw, is about 300+/- pounds if you care.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread
Today, I finished corresponding with my boss for up to the end of December, and realised that, at this third job of mine (the previous two being tutoring and being a receptionist) I'm actually feeling good about the way I'm leaving the job. With tutoring, I never actually quit or got fired - one of my students continued failing (meaning my boss had to give a refund) because she was in no way interested in doing well, and my boss said it wasn't my fault and that she'd contact me with new work, but she never did. At my receptionist job, well, to be fair, I just wasn't a good fit. I'm GREAT at admin. Seriously. But I didn't fit in with the drinking, smoking, sports-watching, non-ES-playing folks I worked with, and my bosses fired me just after I'd already decided to quit.
But this time, I did data entry, which is by no means exciting, but my boss mostly listened to my suggestions, I had open work hours, never got shouted at even once, did more than was expected of me, and when I got a new job opportunity - working at my university - I just let him know, finished my work, and even received a few messages thanking me for my work. Now I'm just waiting for the university to finish up my paperwork so that I can hopefully start my new job in February.

I'll have my fingers crossed, Leilah- it seems, however, that things are prepared to go about rather smoothly. Mind if I ask what sort of work you'll be completing at the mentioned university?

I'll be an assistant in the process of finding new prescribed texts for translation - sorting out copyright issues, speaking to people who can read the languages I don't understand, and so on.
Hmm. I haven't taken any photographs recently, but the two do tend to take naps on my bed together now so I'll see if I can sneak a pic of them today

1. That sounds highly interesting- seems a niche position, yet engaging nonetheless.
2. Adorable! I'll be waiting with bated breath.
