Oh, like the black censor box over the logo? Funny, I was able to see it from Google images, but on the Google homepage, it's just the regular old Google logo.

That might depend on whether or not you have a Google account and have customized the homepage in any way. I have to click on an option to see the daily Google doodle, for example.

Google doodle depends on country I assume. English countries (UK, USA, Australia?) have it probably as default. Czech Republic Google doesn't.

SOPA is not good. Nothing more to add.

Mm. I think this bill has been up for quite some time, in debate/legislature, I mean. Or at least Two years ago or so there was something else that was an issue that threatened Net Neutrality altogether..the fact that there are things like this is mildly concerning at the least, even though it's highly unlikely they'll pass and it is clear the suggestion makers don't think of the overall result.

I've contacted my senators, as well as signed several of the larger petitions that I've come across. I don't know all the technical details of this bill, but all I've heard seems to suggest that even if SOPA itself doesn't cause all the problems that people say it will, it will open the flood gates for further down the road. I'd rather protect my freedoms while I have them, than have to fight to get them back.

I like all those people apart form the last guy, never heard of him.

Can't use wikipidea this is annoying. Same thing happened with TGWTG a while back. I hope it fails anyway I dislike censorship of media in general.

Yep, that's the idea. I wish Facebook had really blacked out, because I think that would have brought a lot of awareness to the cause. I say that even though I rarely use Facebook. So I'll say I wish YouTube had blacked out, because outside the forums, that's where I spend most of the time on the internet, so it would have impacted me more.

Our purpose here isn't to make it completely impossible for people to read Wikipedia, and it's okay for you to circumvent the blackout. We just want to make sure you see our message.

Facebook should have been apart of this, really how more can they just feed the ego's of people. Problem is ofcourse the amount of idiots who wouldn't know what's going on (sort of like me in the beginning of this) and assumed it passed.

Well, I live in Canada. I wrote my MP a letter expressing my concern about the law, and encouraged that she move for a protest of the act by the Canadian government, as well as oppose any similar Canadian acts in the future.

I am hoping I won't be the only one doing this.

That ignorant hypocritical [&@%!] Rupert Murdoch decided to rant about how SOPA didn't get passed on Twitter. His excuse for SOPA being good would be Google 'blocking porn, hate speech'. I don't know how he seems to think that the people actually following him wouldn't know his motives and the type of media he spreads, but it's basically 100% porn and hateful deceit.

What scares me is that the US can consider itself the land of the free when parts of the government wants to censor the true free voice of the world. The voice that cause the Arab spring.

I mean, Denmark is socialist, heavily, and we have tons of pointless regulations, but we don't monitor the internet like that.

That's China, Cuba, Russia etc.

It's funny how they don't see that. THe passing of PIPA and SOPA will:

a) Be the first step towards a totalitarian USA.
b) Ruin the interner, not only for Americans, but for the entire world.
c) Result in the internet being filled with only major media companies.

SOPA and PIPA would kill the internet. Simple as that.
