Ita Rienus

I'm trying to make chameleon armour but I need a weak chameleon spell that I can actually use. Ita Rienus from the Bravil Mages' Guild has one but I can't find her. Anyone know where Ita is?

She is there unless you killed her. Easiest way to find these mages is to wait. They have a tendency to work on a schedule. So sometimes they will be walking around town, others in their favorite pub, or standing near the dining area in the Mages Guild. It is just a matter of what day and what time you look for her.

This doesn't directly answer your question, but I made a 25% chameleon shield with a sigil stone. I never use it.

If I had killed her, then I would've been kicked out of the mages' guilde. I've waited for days and days in that ugly mages' guilde and she won't come.

I want to be 100% chameleon...I don't have a chameleon sigil stone (let alone 5 of them) so I need to have the spell.

Wouldn't it be faster to build up the required skill and go to another mage with a higher chameleon spell?

Sounds like Ita isn't coming home. It might be possible that she's been killed by some random monster attack while she's been out traveling.

Since you've hung around so long, I guess you've prob already tried this, but have you chk'd all the beds during the night?

The mages that don't have a house of their own seem to always sleep at their local guild. If you can't even find her sleeping in any of the beds at night, it does seem more likely that she has met an untimely end.

i have to have like 300 magicka or something ridiculous like that for the spells i have found. i guess the [&@%!] died...but i don't know how. she's not in the basement or any of the beds. the only thing i can think of...is during the dark brotherhood quest when i killed whats his face in front of the night mother some random woman came up and started fighting the guards who were helping me...i'm starting to think that was her...which sucks ass....cause i just let them kill her. of course any other time i've let a mages' guilde member die, i've been kicked out of the guilde...which did not happen then.

Another option is alchemy. At early levels you can make a pretty good chameleon potion combining bloodgrass (everywhere in oblivion or at any alchemy store) and raddish (Odiil Farm, other farms, stores).

With higher level alchemy skill and equipment you can obtain over 100% chameleon with 2 or 3 potions that will last a couple minutes (I have 3/4 master equipment and maxed skills and my chameleon potions are 42% for 128 seconds each).

Why don't you just go on an Oblivion Gate shutting down spree and collect Sigil stones with Chameleon? If you reached level 17 a Transcendent Sigil Stone can give 30% Chameleon which is more than what you can enchant with a Grand Soul.

And what is your Illusion skill? You need Journeyman Illusion skill to cast Ita's Chameloen spell ... and, IIRC, if you can't cast the spell you can't use the spell effect for enchanting ...

i'm a jourrneyman of illusion. i'm level 34 so my sigil stones are chameleon...i just don't know that i want to waste my sigil stones on chameleon armour...of course i have like 5 that i'm not using, so i may as well start trying to get chameleon sigil stones. thanks for your help. i appreciate it.
