Hey, when I was born in Florida it snowed. But with the wind chill it feels like 19°F/-7°C. That's average, but after weeks of a spring weather it feels brutal!

How the hell did you come across asbestos? Isn't that stuff illegal in the EU?

But yeah, that stuff is nasty. From my understanding, it only causes problems from long term exposure, but don't take my word on this. I would probably go see a doctor if I had any trouble breathing, if I were you.

Buildings made out of it can stay full of asbestos, my school was :/ But, you can't build out of it anymore (no wonder), and if you (for some reason) want to, say, put a window in an asbestos wall then you have to be properly qualified and wear those daft white suits (they have a different name in the legislation).

It is, but I don't think anyone's looked in our old boiler room since 1940. I was sawing the end off an unused water pipe to make room for a new set of shelves now that we've refitted the stud wall and door, and only afterwards realised that what I was slicing into probably wasn't modern plastic. The major problem is that I have asthma, so I may die horribly.
