Hi all,
I've found the area of UESP that says that if I kill a Blades member I can't finish the main quest - indeed, when I talk to Caius Cosades he says I've been kicked out, and that this path to my destiny is blocked. Basically I went and did the Dwemer puzzle box quest, then went off adventuring on my own, so I have no idea when I might have killed a fellow Blade.
1. Is there another way to complete the main quest other than through Blades?
2. If not, is there a console command, which will allow me to set the number of blades I killed to 0, thus allowing me to continue being a blade?

Yes, you only get one chance with the blades.
You can try opening the console and typing
pcclearexpelled "Blades"
That should get you back into Caius' good books.
There is a back path to completing the main quest, more difficult but will possibly solve you problem if you can't get back with Caius Cosades.
