Maybe you were innocent but got thrown in jail by a corrupt watchman.basleijser wrote: I like Oblivion, but how can I be a good guy when I'm starting in prison? I mean, you can role-play that you need to do good things because you first ended up in prison, but that's not fun. So you can't be good for 100%.

I think it'd be nice to work my way to being a great swordsman and then go off trying to help the Nerevarine with whatever it is he/she so randomly decided to do when he/she went off to the land of the Akaviri. I'd want to go there anyway since that's where the only katanas in OB come from (not including the Ebony Blade and Gold Brand)... I like katanas. Actually now that I think of it I'd bring the Ebony Blade with me... seeing as how the Nerevarine should have Eltonbrand with him/her... right? (I went obsessive compulsive for getting Eltonbrand every time I made a character in Morrowind, lol) Two artifact katanas in the land where katanas are most often used... fun.
***SI SPOILER***
It'd also be extremely interesting to figure out a way to make an honest person out of Jyggalag... becoming a real god would be just grand.

To quote some others:
I'd also definately be a musician. I'd bring rock and roll to Cyrodiil, for sure. My band and I would tour through every city before finally having a huge rock concert in the middle of the the Imperial City Arena.
In addition to just having a blast doing magic, I think experimental magic and theory would be pretty exciting.ArotosMarkos wrote:I'd be a Mage in real life...

I actually do a bit of sword fighting in real life, every since I was a kid, so I'd have to take that to a whole new level.Oathbreaker wrote:work my way to being a great swordsman

Actually so do I... but I don't usually follow the traditional styles... once I gain relative skill in any one style I integrate it into my own little thing. But taking into account that we'd be thrown into a world full of swordsmen and adventurers and whatnot, yeah... like you said it'd have to be on a whole different level. Especially with my whole thing of going to a land of katana masters... lol. Luckily for the Nerevarine that I want to help out... he/she's already a demi god from the events in Morrowind.I actually do a bit of sword fighting in real life, every since I was a kid, so I'd have to take that to a whole new level.
Adamus Phillida's AI never actually had him persuing the Dark Brotherhood, nor did any of the City Watch, or Imperial Liegions.
As is, the Guilds in Cyrodill are seperate, even from city to city.
I would restructure the enite System, so they worked as one, yet still seperate in thier own identities.
The Fighters Guild would still handle indepentant contracts, so would still have thier income. However, they would be like a reserve unit for the respective City Watch, also recieving support of the Watch.
The City Watch would still function as a City Guard/Police, but also be "National Guard", recieving support from the Liegion.
The Mages Guild would still learn, teach, & reasearch, yet provide logistical support to the FG, CW, & IL. They would also train Battle Mages/Medics.
All Forts would be rebuilt and remaned. New Forts Built to set-up the appropriate support web.
Patrols would be organized, as fire teams.
Players become "Uber" because of equpiment. At higher levels, when NPC's are also leveling, it is your equipment that gives you the edge. A better equipt force, negates that. As you train Mages to enchant, they enchant equipment for the Liegion, Watch, & FG.
Night Eyes & Detect Life Helms, negates Sneak, Chameleon & Invisibility. Takes the Dark out of the Brotherhood. There are ways to negate Marksman as well. Don't forget about Reflect Damage either.
The only reason Players can find all of the good loot, is because nobody else is looking for it. I would think that there would not be much left, if the Liegon, watch, & FG are also searching.
Remember those nice Alyied Stones that shock you? Would make nice home security devices. That would be a nice Research Project for the Mages Guild.
How do you fund all of this? Much loot from Aylied Ruins. Get those mines up an running. Get the people working, boost the economy.

I'd also consider joining the Blackwood Company on a permanent basis if I could. They're just so much more polite than most of Fighters Guild, none of them refer to me as 'meat'. On top of that, I'd get all the hist sap I could drink, free of charge!

I would first do the Main Quest and save Tamriel, so everyone loves me hehe
Then, I would try to unite all the knights guilds: The Blades, The Knights of the White Stallion, The Knights of the Nine, The Knights of the Thorn, The Fighter's Guild, The Blackwood Company...
So I would have made one big organization with all these guilds as 'members'.
So when there are enemies somewhere, like bandits or marauders, I've got an army of 100+ warriors to fight them!

After some serious reviewing, I have decided what I would do.
You are right, if we were born and raised in Tamriel, things would be different. I have decided that the best thing to do would take up the profession of Bounty Hunting.
You really wouldn't do anything to offend the constitution of Cyrodiil, as the Dark Brotherhood has taken the habit of doing, and I am sure the rewards would be fairly plentiful.
Say the Imperial Guards want you to track and slay the undercover agent of a squad of rebellions.
Say a very well-spoken Orcish noble (*cough*) wishes you to rid the local lands of enraged ogres to save his precious daughter.
You could retire to a humble home in Imperial City and live the life of modest luxury.

I missed it here.

Once I got too old for fighting and adventuring, I think I'd set up a shop in the Imperial City making and selling nice underwear - there's a huge gap in the market there.
My character's loaded now; she owns property all over Cyrodiil, but she still has to make do with that horrible sackcloth bra. I'm playing on PS3, so downloading a lingerie mod isn't an option.

I think if I had been born and raised within Cyrodiil, I'd be doing something similar to what my interests are dictating. I'd be some sort of muscian, as I said before, but I'd also definately be a writer of some sort. Possibly a journalist like Vesna said, but probably I'd be a novelist (or what the heck, both).
I doubt I'd join any guilds. I'd take up sword fighting as a hobby, but I wouldn't be the type to actually go out and do a lot of fighting, which means no FG contracts. Likewise with the MG; I'd be interested in magic too, but I wouldn't be so much into doing assignments for the guild.

I think I would be a mage. You can finish enemies without having to get close to them, and without all the blood.
I would specialize myself in the schools of Destruction, Alteration, Mysticism and Illusion.
I won't need Restoration, since I use Detect Life, Night-Eye, Invisibility and Shield spells so I never got hurt.
I would try to join the Mages Guild, but having lot of trouble finding Erthor (that's his name right? from the recommendation quests), because I don't like zombies.

I would first try to get the master level of Destruction and Alteration. Then I'll go to the cave to save that lost mage, cast a 100% Fire Shield spell and then a Fire Damage 40pts in 300 feet
Poof, all the zombies dead, and hopefully Erthor is still alive. If not, I just tell the Skingrad Mages Guild that he was experimenting and got himself killed.
