Re: Your best/most memorable moment in skyrim
I remember coming across a giant in the Alto that was just staring ruefully at the corpse of a Mammoth. I presume it must have drowned in the hot pools.
Not exciting in any manner, but I found it very touching for all the same.

Arriving in Blackreach for the first time.
I was floored by the beauty of it. Reminded me of another game that I used to play called Uru, from the makers of Myst, where an ancient race had a civilization in a huge cavern underground.
Since I discovered Blackreach, I keep going back to explore and wander around. Love the place!

Am i right that Blackreach can only be accessed via the Main Quest? It sounds fantastic.DeeJay wrote:Arriving in Blackreach for the first time.

For me, i'd go for being chased around Riverwood after i killed a chicken.... surreal, or having a great nights sleep after buying my first house in Whiterun.

(trying not to spoil here)
But, yes, I believe the only way to access it is during the Main story line.

So far, this has been the coolest moment for me too.

Re: Your best/most memorable moment in skyrim
For me, there were many memorable moments in Skyrim, but I'll narrow it down to my top 3.
1: Cutting somebody's head off. It's so strangely satisfying to see the head fly into the air, isn't it?
2: Learning all the words for Unrelenting Force. That shout has saved my life more times than I care to remember.
3: The ending part where

I was trying to turn in a quest at the tavern, but this guy was like "Drinking contest, right now!" so I did that, woke up from a drunken haze in a different city built into a mountain, some guy in the street is like "FORSWORN! Kill all!" and I was like "Stop!" but he didn't listen so needless to say he got euthenized. Whilst trying to investigate the forsworn conspiracies, this acolyte is like "We need to check out this abandoned house, right now," so I did that too, then a demon threw [&@%!] all over the place and said "KILL HIM KILL HIM" so I did. I was all verklempt.

Making my way to the shrine of Clavicus with the annoying dog, at some point we get attacked by some necromancers and their reanimated bandits. During the battle I kill one of the bandits and his last words are "thank you".

Very early in the game, when I ran to the top of a hill in the Whiterun Tundra to find Whiterun itself sitting in all it's beauty on the other side. Stunning moment.

Gotta be Blackreach. Most beautiful location in Skyrim.
The entire end of the main quest comes as a close second though.

Re: Your best/most memorable moment in skyrim
On my first file, I was grinding iron daggers in riverwood when the dragon music started. Exiting the smithing screen and sure enough a dragon was attacking the town. I killed him and returned to my daggers less than a minute and the music started again. this time a blood dragon was attacking. Killed that one and finished my daggers without incident. Really though back to back dragons in town?

Re: Your best/most memorable moment in skyrim
This was the most flawless setup of badassery in video games I've ever done: Ok I got the LOTR soundtrack for christmas and so I downloaded it to my Xbox. So I started one of the civil war garrison the fort quests, and was mounted on a horse, with Riders of Rohan playing in the background, while galloping into the fort while being pelted with arrows. Lasted all of about 1 minute but was completely awesome, especially since I'm and enormous fan of LOTR.

Heh, killing the guy who almost kills that girl when you first enter Markarth. I chopped his head off, which landed in the nearby meat stand.

I think for me the very opening scene were you are being transported to the block by the Imperials for the first time. The music, along with the atmosphere is one of those moments where I thought to myself, "Wow!" Great moment for me,

Re: Your best/most memorable moment in skyrim
My most memorable moment was first walking from Riverwood to Bleak Falls Barrow, and going into my first dungeon. I stood on the tower partway up the mountain and looked around at the surrounding landscape. My next favorite was the first time I used the whole Fus Ro Dah. I was doing the quest I was escaping along the castle walls, when a group of Imperial Soldiers were coming straight at me. I Fus Ro Dah'd them all over the sides of the walls in one go.
And the quests The Forsworn Conspiracy and No One Escapes From Cindha Mine.
