Falmer Invasions to come? (Spoiler)
o.O It feels quite...cliffhanger-ish doesn't it? I was hoping there'd be more to it, but, after finishing it and handing over the final notes the coot just goes "Oh. Thank you for the notes and I will be sure to tell their family." like nothing happened and everything is perfectly A-Oh-Kay despite the emminent and evidentally large threat living hidden in that one place and throughout~Aaall of skyrim. D: Perhaps even a larger threat than the Thalmore if not for their current condition.

Yep, and considering the Falmer hate everything above ground, I think that it is very plausible.

I did see Falmer taking human slaves in one of their caves, I wouldn't be surprised if they all came to the surface.

^ The cave in the "A Return to Your Roots" quest? They didn't seemed like slaves to me, their names were "Falmer servants" and they even had cash...
People call the Stormcloaks racists but the Falmer are the true racists. Be it in Lore or in-game. Only because of the sins of some they blamed all...

Re: Falmer Invasions to come? (Spoiler)
I don't think Falmer are that big of a problem really, a war between their armies and that of Skyrims or the Empire is a losing one for them. I can't really see tham as that big of a threat since they're currently getting they're asses kicked by the dwarves (via they're traps and automatons) who went extinct(?) years ago.
I still vie for the unexpected dwarven return.

Just wait until the next total eclipse! The blind Falmer will have the upper hand when the world is plunged into darkness.

There is no darkness. Even in the bowels of Blackreach it looks like noon.
The Wabbajack! Huh? Huh? Didn't see that coming, did you?

Hm. I can see the Falmer causing some serums mischief, but never instigating a full scale invasion.

Read the story of the Snow Prince, it's in the game and you can find it on the wiki. Tell me that wouldn't be amazing to have that guy come back?

The Falmer would certainly have a good chance against the surface people for one reason. Chaurus Reapers. Damn those things are tough.

Nah they'd get screwed, they have no sophisticated system of government connecting one Falmer resident area to another as far as I can tell, and without that, they would never be able to coordinate an attack on the outside world simultaneously, and therefore their attacks would only be slightly worse than a bandit raid.

Re: Falmer Invasions to come? (Spoiler)
Not to mention it says in-game somewhere that they were hunted to near extinction by the Nords, I'm sure if they came to the surface they would be sent straight back.
I'm on my way to Windhelm to join up with the Stormcloaks, Ulfric has the right of it!

If anything, the Dwemer's machines will rise up and take over Skyrim. The automatons will all come to life and engulf everyone with steamy breath.
