The Reflex Setting

Post by OblivionDuruza »

So I'm not too knowledgeable on Daggerfall, but I do know that the Reflex Setting affects how quickly enemies move and attack and how quickly you level up, but how much? Are there any numbers on it? Is it a noticeable change?

I cant give a exact number as I'm not sure if there is anyway to tell, but there is a big one form the slowest to the fastest, if I leave the game alone on fastest I die a lot quicker then if I leave it on slowest.

... is movement rate for everything.

"A bat bite have a delay of 2 seconds of slow and a delay of 0.5 in fast" (not sure)
Also affects movement speed of aaall the creatures, npc... and you

I recommend going on the fastest setting. Your character moves at snailspeed even with maximum reflexes on. And that's a real pain in the ass when you're moving through big towns.

In that case, there seems not a whole lot of reason not to choose the Maximum Reflex setting, I was under the impression it was pertaining only to enemies and didn't know it also affected movement speed of the PC. Thanks for the heads up guys.
