I've decided I won't take part, even though you give me a solution, it turns out me trying to fix the tree has caused other problem further down the god damn line, so I thought it's best for me not to bother, sorry, but, it doesn't help when you're as pedantic as me.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Leiden sat in a dark corner of the Rusty Chariot - the local inn. It was the only inn in the small, quaint village of D'vam. The only thing remarkable about this village was the small band of mercenaries who recently moved into town. Discreetly, he had sent out the word - there was gold to be found, for those willing to fight for it. He went over his maps one last time, making sure he had the route planned out perfectly. There could be no errors - getting there, and back would be an impossible feat. No organized expedition had ever made it to Vivec and returned with the spoils. Not until now. However, he knew that however well he had planned it, his information was faulty. Lava flows, meteor strikes, and fertile land meant that Vvardenfell had been forever changed. He could only pray that those who had come had the skills to get the job done.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Llarays Bero ordered a bottle of Flin from the bartender. His mind was racing at the opportunity of getting rich. He had heard the trip would be very dangerous, but that was no matter. He had no family, and no friends. Once he had ordered the flin, he sat down at a table.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"Aye," Leiden said, looking the Dunmer up and down. He was tall than him, but wider. He looked competent enough. "But we won't talk of it until everyone is here. Sit down, buy yourself a drink. This could easily be our last for a long, long time." He looked up at the dimly lit inn. "Inn keep." He called out. The innkeeper raised his head. He was cleaning a flagon with a cloth that looked like it had seen better days. "Two bottles and a flagon of flin, and another 3 bottles of Mead." His alcohol was the only ration he hadn't prepared. The innkeeper brought them quickly, as Leiden had been a good customer for the past few months as he planned his endeavour. He remembered the words of the Jarl, who he had been closer to than his father. "Planning is everything." He would say. "Strategy, not men, win a battle."

Llarays turned his head over to the table where he heard some noise. "Oh, you guys are meeting over there? I was mistaken, then." He then walked over to that table, carrying his flin with him.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Leiden couldn't help but laugh when the older Dunmer took a bottle of mead for his own. He must have thought he was buying it for him, he shoved the rest of the bottles in his pack, and addressed the two. "I'm Leiden Windfall, leader of our little band of vagabonds." He formed each syllable perfectly, but with the gritty voice he had picked up from living in Morrowind for months. It clashed with his native Nordic accent, and must have made him sound even more ridiculous than being so formal about how he spoke. "And I certainly hope you're prepared. Rations, water, the like. I have no idea what we'll find over there in ways of food and water. I'm not even sure if mushrooms are still there."

"Names? My name is Llarays." said Llarays while sticking out his hand for a handshake.
Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell

Llarays got up without much effort and slowly strided over to the man.
"Do you, by any chance, know of an adventure to Vivec?" Llarays asked the man while sitting down at the man's table. His hands formed fists on the table and he looked at the man questioningly.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Leiden watched the gang, trying to judge their personalities. One thing was certain about everyone that had walked in, however. Gold was on their mind. And this expedition was sure to bring it. Even if Vivec was a bust, there were spoils to be found along the way.

"From the people I've heard back from, there'll be around 6." Leiden said, but with a little reluctance in his voice. "You never know though. By word of mouth, or simply people showing up and deciding they like the sound of it. I'll be happy with six though."

"Six, eh? I would've thought more people would come from the sound of gold and such." Llarays grunted. "Seems more and more people don't want riches nowadays." He took a big drink from his Flin.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"I think it's more that life threatening danger, and that there's no guarantee we'll find anything." Leiden chuckled. "But that's how all dependant on how you see wealth. The entire continent of Vvardenfell is almost entirely abandoned, except for Argonian marauders, Ashlanders, and treasure hunters. There's more land out there than anyone could ever dream of buying back in Cyrodiil, and all you have to do out here is say that it's yours."

"If you can mine it, sure, and carry it all back." Leiden said. "You can only take what you can carry, and we won't wait for you. We move when I say so, sleep when I say so, eat when I say so, and fight when I say so." His voice was cold, and commanding. He was a military man, though he had never been formally knighted.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
The front doors of the inn opened tentatively, catching the bar tender's attention, but saw no one pass through. He turned back to over polishing a glass tumbler to find it was gone from his hands; in front of him was a small khajiit standing on a bar stool, stroking the the glass as the candlelight cast his fur in a green glow. "GIVE ME THAT, ya damn rug" he said, ripping the tumbler from Qa'Mhirr; out of his trance, the diminutive Dagi-raht fixed his almost pupil-less eyes on the mer, "This one is sorry, it was just so shiny.." Qa'Mhirr said, his words trailed off as he became captivated by the glass again. The bar tender put the glass away, "What do you want, cat?" "Does this one have any Jagga 'round, Qa'Mhirr has coin," the mer walked in the back and came out with a rather worn down leather flask that smelled almost putrid, "I never thought anyone drank the stuff, but gold first all the same." Qa'Mhirr paid for his concoction and made his way to the gathering of talking of shiny things, jumping up on a stool and remained standing to be near eye level with the Dunmer. "This one hears of a hunt in the lands of black sand, Qa'Mhirr come, yes?" he said as he pulled out the green glass tumbler from before and poured the fermented pig's milk, the smell was almost physically offensive.

"That drink, eh? Drank it before. It was all right. Pungent, though. " Llarays said.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"My friend," He said, smiling at the Khajiit. The Khajiit had always been friendly to him. Friendly to everyone, not that the Nord's noticed. "Yes. I am the leader of this expedition - I'm Leiden." He pointed towards the tall, stout man, he looked as if he was somewhere else. "This is Veriax," He then pointed towards the other Dunmer, "And Llarays. There's a big Redguard around here somewhere too, Stros M'kil. Our party is almost complete, it seems. I hope you're all ready for this. Once we leave, there's no turning back."

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"This one is Qa'Mhirr of the Dagi-raht" he said in a rehearsed formal manner. "Khajiit always travels light, makes more room for the shinies," his tone back to excitable.
Qa'Mhirr sat down on the stool and began lapping at the fermented milk, paying little attention to anything else.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Thoryn climbed out onto the rocking deck of the small boat, raising a hand to shield his eyes from the sun as they adjusted to the light. The journey from Windhelm had been uneventful, and Thoryn was glad to see Blacklight approaching and to be away from the bitterness civil war had brought to Skyrim.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
"The final member of our group should be arriving soon. I'm afraid I don't know much about them - or any of you. While we're waiting for Sera to arrive, why don't you tell me about yourself. Your strengths, your weaknesses..." He trailed off to list a few things about himself, like his squire training, and his magic, but when the subject of the Jarl came up, his voice turned cold. "But... I... We don't talk much anymore," He said, with a look in his eyes that made him seem a million miles away. "Misunderstanding..." He turned to the innkeeper. "S'WIT!" He yelled. The innkeeper looked at him, alarmed at the tone of his voice. "Get me the stiffest drink you have. Now." The innkeeper rushed off behind the counter, past a Toadstool that flourished beside a door, and down into the cellar.

Re: Frontier: Vvardenfell
Qa'Mhirr looked up at Leiden, his large white eyes alert and curious. "Fusozay Var Var, Dar friend" he said warmly, milk dribbled down his chin, "We are not here for bitter tastes and sour memories." Qa'Mhirr paused for what seemed like forever, "Qa'Mhirr is a scout and hunter of shinies, he has been to many Dwarf holes and Ay~lyd burrows," the Khajiit finally said, remembering what Leiden has asked. "This one comes from the Tenmar, like most Dagi and raht, it is a place of much fresh sugar for it is its home," his eyes were distant and his tone forlorn, "But that was then, this is the now." Qa'Mhirr continued with his excitable mannerisms, "This one is an archer of sorts, imperial men say I should think about becoming a scout for them, good eyes in the dark, but not fun, sitting around and no sugar to be found." "None in other tombs either...but here, this island, there may be sugar with the shinies, a good day to be had if it is," the dagi-raht purred, his long tail uncurled from his waist and swished in delight.
