The setting is Morrowind, just after the events of Skyrim. It is still a contested land, with neither the Empire, the Dunmer, nor the Argonians in shape to colonize the tracts of unclaimed, fertile land. The volcanic ash has made the soil ripe and ready for plants - the asteroid that crashed into Vivec has left huge seams of iron, gold and other minerals exposed on the surface, to be mined. Not to mention, the abandoned civilization left behind unimaginable loot...
The Quest
No heroes are made without a quest - and what better quest than that for riches and fame? Our intrepid bunch are doing the unthinkable, the impossible, the downright stupid - reclaiming Vvardenfell. Their destination is the ruins of the city of Vivec - almost completely destroyed in the asteroid attack. Or was it? Argonian stragglers from the south have told of the Palace of Vivec being almost completely intact, but also completely deserted. But along the way, they'll have to contend with wildlife, Argonian invaders, Ashlanders, Dwemer ruins, lava plains, and much, much more. Who could possibly attempt such an endeavour?
The Heroes
That's where you come in, actually. In a brilliant oversight, I have forgotten to come up with any heroes for this fantastical journey. So, you come up with your own. All I can say is - the "Heroes" are wide and diverse - doing this for their own agenda's, their own motives, their own personal gain. From a Thalmor spy, to a Dunmer freedom fighter, or just a dishonest Khajiit we all root for quietly, anything is possible.
The Journey
The journey has to start somewhere, right? And it starts in none other than a small town called D'vam, on the eastern edge of Blacklight. From there, they must cross onto the island, and then travel southeast down the entire island until they reach Vivec, where they must make their way through the ruined city, and claim their prize...
The Rules
The rules are simple, really. Post at least once a day, be nice OOC, and don't post too much OOC, and if you're going inactive, have your character commit suicide, or arrange to have them killed, or something. It's only courtesy. Besides that, Mary Sue characters won't be allowed. I'll judge what a Mary Sue is, but basically, don't be invincible, and we'll be 'kay. Kay? Besides that, try to have longish posts. 3-5 lines isn't much to write, but it tells much more of a story. Describe EVERYTHING and you'll be fine.
Character list:
1: Sloady:
Spoiler:
Name: Leiden Windfalll
Race: Dunmer
Sex: Male
Age: 124
Description: Leiden is slightly shorter than most Dunmer, and has very pale grey skin. He's slightly more muscled than the average elf. He has dark red eyes, and black hair that touches his shoulders, and covers his eyes.
Background: Leiden grew up in Skyrim, hence his Nordic name. Unlike some of the more unfortunate elves in Windhelm, he was taken on by the Jarls court after the civil war, in an effort for the Jarl to have better relations with the Dunmer. Leiden spent much of his youth as a servant to the Jarl, before the Jarl rewarded his service by making him a squire. The young boy studied the arts of combat, and magic, and the nobility of being a knight. Until upon one day, the Jarl's jealous son framed him for the murder of a Dunmer, and the Jarl believed him. Leiden was exiled from Windhelm, never to return. His heart turned bitter, and as cold as Skyrim's landscape. Leiden spent years plotting his revenge, and eventually repaid the Jarl's son betrayal with more betrayal. Hired as a mysterious mercenary on an escort mission, Leiden killed his guards, and his horse, before leaving him to die in the frozen wastes. His sense of retribution sated, he fled to Morrowind, though he never forgot the looks of the men he killed for his revenge.
Personality: Leiden is a closed off, quiet individual. He values honor, valor and respect, just as the Nord's do, but his shady past make him put vengeance and retribution high on his list. He has a quiet distaste for Argonians, and a fond love of Khajiit, who remind him of the Khajiit in the court of the Jarl.
Class: Nightblade
Weapons: An ebony shortsword.
Magic: Illusion, Destruction, Alteration
Armor/Clothing: Wears full leather body armor (similar in style to the Thieves Guild armor in Skyrim), and a black hood, as well as a pack full of whatever curios he has picked up along his adventure.
2: Chaos:
Spoiler:
Name: Qa'Mhirr
Race: Dagi-raht Khajiit
Sex: Male
Age: Unknown
Desciption: Ebony black fur, white underbelly/throat-chin, azure-white eyes, longer/thicker than normal tail. Like the rest of his kind, he is much smaller than most races of Nirn, but more muscular than the Dagi.
Background: Career Treasure hunter and lover of all things shiny, he often tags along any archaeological expedition as a scout, pocketing what he can or hiding things he can't to come back for later. He has no formal training in any field and prefers to think of his skill in archery and minor magical abilities as "luck of the Moon Beast", refusing to spend more than a blink in one spot at a time.
Personality: Friendly, inquisitive to a fault, and sees most of life as a hunt (game). Somewhat naive in most respects that don't involve the typical backstabbing that comes with treasure hunting.
Class: Scout/Wild Mage
Weapons: Steel Crossbow and quiver
Magic: (short range) untrained "wild" magics: hexs (draining spells), fortify speed, feather spell, and short range teleportation. Can't cast spells more than a few feet (on touch), so he 'casts' them on his bolts if he can't get close enough, less effective and tires him quickly.

There are no posting rules persay, but to stop us from excluding people in different timezones, I'd like everybody to be considerate about how often you post. Don't post too often unless everyone is on and posting.
Fight Rules:
Most of the fights in game will be against enemies I choose. Whether you succeed or fail will be decided by a ten dice roll. (click the box and select 10 dice) A roll of 20 (33%) is a win. After losing 2 dice rolls, a player is unconscious, and must be revived by a potion or healing spell, or will die. Players roll their own dice, but I hope you guys will be honest enough about it.

Count Chaos in, he's decided to go with the RP overload and join any that brings intrigue!

I've decided to join in on a third RP woot woot, plus it adds more depth to my long line of Rethan's:
Name: Abbard Rethan
Race: Dunmer
Age: 25
Sex: Male
Description: Abbard is rather lean and has a rather athletic/acrobatic style of combat involving many techniques which would confuse the average opponent. Although he is a Dunmer he has rather pale skin (for a Dunmer) as his Dunmer father had been married to a Nord woman. Despite this his eyes are still as red as the lava that pours from volcanoes.
Background: Abbard's father like his father before him was the Jarl of the Pale (little nod to another RP I am involved), yet his father did not last as long as his grand-father and was usurped by a Nord supremacist after a series of harrowing skirmish defeats to his forces. Abbard and his parents were given a manor in Solitude by the sympathetic Jarl there. Later in his young life Abbard left his parents behind, despite severe protest, to go join his distant cousin Draalas Orelan who was a Hlaalu councilor in Morrowind to help resist the invading/occupying Argonians. After several years of fighting, Abbard ending up taking leave in Blacklight, ending up getting drunk on the local Flin every night. One night the innkeeper where he was staying (and drinking) kicked him out for causing too much racket singing with the Redoran natives about pushing the Argonians out. After a long night he ended up waking up in a small inn in the town of D'vam, and that's how his part starts.
Personality: Abbard is still very young for a Dunmer, and although he has learnt much from his time in Morrowind, he is still very aggressive and easily excited, not to mention the Nord blood in him, giving him a taste for battle. Although he can be immature, he can act his age if the situation demands it. Despite his recklessness he is a very good ally, and will never or very rarely change his loyalties.
Class: Acrobat
Weapons: Two Nordic Steel daggers, and a shortbow which he uses occasionally.
Armor: Hlaalu patterned Netch leather armour
On a side note: Won't Vvardenfall be considerably changed as well due to the Red Mountain in essence, blowing up?
Oh I thought it was set in a generic time in the fourth era, so I made the main focus of my character the Argonian invaders/occupiers. To be fair though, several decades after the war started, who's to say the war hasn't ended, there has been no definitive ending to he war yet in Lore. Plus the OP mentions Argonians as potential enemies.
Oh well, if thats the time setting of the RP, even then, there is no definitive ending to the war, for all you know the Argonians are still a wee bit rampant in Morrowind.
POMC, yeah, there's exceptions, but if you know you're going to be gone for a while, it's best to kill of your character so the RP can continue to move along.
Crepe, it's set about 50 years after Skyrim. You'll either have to make your character older, or edit him extensively, because I was planning on having just the odd Argonian marauder force being there, but no really huge forces, because of the destruction of most of Vvardenfell.
Fair enough, sorry for this, but i'm pulling out, doing that will severely deconstruct the Rethan family tree for me, I know it sounds a bit odd, but i'm rather OCD-ish about this, so don't take any offence.
That's fair enough You could always have this guy be a descendant of the character you just posted Instead of having to deconstruct it, you could add another link to it.
I think you just might have it, and with his half-Nord blood, this would work completely, thank you sloady, I did want to join in and now you've solved it.
You going to do a new character sheet, or do you want to keep the old one, but just know that you've added a link to it? On an unrelated note, there's FAR too much OOC. From now on, if you have a question, message me about it.
