Please, give it a chance, it took me a while to write this OP up, and it is my first RP, I hope it brings a lot of fun to the RP board
The Setting
Tamriel. In the First Era 412. Tamriel is different to many of you remember it in the Third and Fourth Eras. The Mer are the most widespread race in Tamriel, but the young Nedes are slowly catching up to them, occupying most of northern and central Cyrodiil. The Mer have lost most of its territory to the Nedics by way of war, not by treaties and negotations. It started with a landing in the north and an uprising in the middle, and now, the Nedes are in control of the two most powerful states in Tamriel. The Mer on the other hand are in control of the most of the west of Tamriel with the Altmer and Bosmer in the south-west, and the Dwemer clan Rourken and the Altmer clan Derinni dominating the north-west. In the north-east the Dwemer and Chimer have come to an uneasy agreement which was forged by the two leaders of the races, Dumac and Nerevar, with the Falmer in the background, taking shelter in the Dwemer strongholds from the prejudice of the nearby Nords. In the south the Beast peoples rule, with the Khajiit and their Manes ruling Elsweyr and the Argonian lizard people in the Black Marsh. The Imga live in Valenwood with their Bosmer rulers, but none are landowners, and most lead petty lives, yet they are the last to admit this. Finally, the Ayleids, once the leaders of Tamriel’s most powerful empire, now cower in the Nibenay Basin, surrounded by enemies and no allies and sight. Tamriel is only young, yet diversity already flourishes.

The Story
Malacath, the Creator of Curses, the Prince of the Spurned, the Keeper of the Sworn Oath, these are amongst many titles of the Deadric Prince. He was proud, he had created his finest work, made of the purest ebony, infused with the hearts of a thousand daedra, he named it the Sunder of Gods, as he was sure that if the blade cut one of the divines, they would indeed by wounded. Yet, one of the Daedric Princes was jealous. Boethia, the Prince of Plots, was angered by the sword, and how it inflated his fellow prince to great heights of confidence, Boethia in terms wished to knock Malacath down a notch. Thus, in a plan wrapped in treachery and cunning, Boethiah captured the blade, and sundered it into three pieces himself, and hurled the pieces down onto Nirn, in the hopes that the mortals would be too arrogant to relieve the pieces back to Malacath.
The three pieces launched like meteorites out of the sky, each one could be seen hurtling towards the planet from the far corners of the world, even the snake men of Akavir gazed in awe as the shards smashed into Tamriel far away, causing huge craters to form where they landed. Now, the race is on. Collectors and empires compete with each other to find the pieces and create the unknown. You are hunting the pieces. You can search for the pieces within a group, or by youself, but the former will be much safer. Are you searching for the pieces for a higher power? Wealth? Power for yourself? Or simply for knowledge? Your quest will become clearer the further you venture.
Races – Nedes
Imperials: The Imperials are quite comfortable with themselves, a couple of centuries ago they freed themselves and wrested power over the White Gold Tower from their Ayleid rulers. They rule over most of central Tamriel, and have ventured into southern Volenfall. Their Emperor Ami-El rules from their capital the White Gold Tower, on an island in the hot, humid jungles of the Cyrodiilic heartlands.
Nords: The Nords occupy most of northern Tamriel with borders stretching from Inner Sea in Resdayn to The Reach in High Rock, from the Sea of Ghosts to the Jerall Mountains. Their Empire is not actually an empire any more, as their last king, King Borgas, was killed in the Wild Hunt by a Bosmer, Skyrim is now ruled by a collective of people who rule over small areas of Skyrim each, these are called Jarls.
Bretons: The Bretons are a trodden on race. Viewed on as ‘half-casts’ by their rulers, the Direnni Hegemony, they are quite often the lower class in each state of the Hegemony. Although the Bretons are under the boot of the Altmer, the end is in sight, the Nords and Imperials are encroaching on the Direnni, wishing to free their Nedic brethren from the rule of their Mer overlords.
Kothringi: Not much is known about the Kothringi outside of their homeland in the Black Marsh. The Kothringi are a silver-skinned, tribal people, native to the lands of the Black Marsh and were indeed before there before the Argonians, but not before the Hist. The Kothringi have not been victim to the the Nedic-Mer tension, but the Alessian Empire nearby deeply wishes to annex the Kothringi lands in an attempt to ‘join their brethren’.
Races-Mer:
Altmer: The Altmer were the first Mer to diversify and their known homeland is the Summerset Isle. In the isles they are ruled by an anti-Nedic group of politicians named the Thalmor. The other Altmer in Tamriel, are the Direnni clan in High Rock, which dominate the Nedic peoples of the region. The Direnni are the ruling class of the Hegemony and are viewed as very arrogant. Although they are arrogant, and often ignorant, they are not ignorant of the encroaching Nedes are their wish to release the Bretons from their rule.
Bosmer: The Bosmer call their home Valenwood. South of the Alessian Empire, the massive woods and the migrating tree cities easily create awe amongst their Nedic neighbours. The Bosmer have received a cold-shoulder from the Imperials, as the Bosmer have provided Valenwood as a safe-haven for the many Ayleids fleeing the Nedes who wish to kill and enslave them. Although this tension seems to be dying down between the two states as the county; Colovian West in the Alessian Empire has recently resumed trade with the Bosmer.
Chimer: The Chimer look much like the Altmer, but they have a grey tint to their skin. The Chimer occupy Resdayn with their underground allies Dwemer. Although the two races have great disdain for each other, the two leaders of the races were great friends and this is how an alliance was forged between the two. The Chimer follow the worship of ancestors and the Anticipations, and this had gained them great disdain from their Altmer cousins.
Dwemer: The Dwemer look like the Altmer, but their skin has a blue tint to it, but only a slight amount, that it is barely noticeable in some cases. As well as that the Dwemer are prone to growing beards and having a large amount of facial hair, yet no one knows if this is genelogical or the other Mer just prefer to shave more often. The Dwemer prefer to live underground, and the main body of them live in Vvardenfall near the Red Mountain and scattered about Resdayn. Although another clan of Dwemer, the Rourken live in the Volenfall badlands east of the Nedic control.
Falmer: The Falmer nearly look identical to their Altmer cousins, yet their skin is nearly white due to the climate of their original homeland, Skyrim. Yet they were pushed out of their homeland by the Nords, and now they live with their Dwemer brethren. They have yet to be corrupted by their Dwemer landlords, and have quite a cooperative relationship with them.
Ayleids: The Ayleids, or the Heartland High Elves, are much like most other Mer, look like the Altmer yet they are more bronze-skinned than the Altmer. The Ayleids used to rule over the most powerful empire in Tamreil, but due to an uprising by their Nedic slaves, they now cower in their petty Kingdom of Nenalata surroundered by the Alessian Empire, the Ayleids hope of greatness is starting to dwindle, their hope, is now, impossible.
Orsimer: The Orsimer, or the Pariah Folk, live in the Wrothgarian Mountains in the Direnni Hegemony, although officially the Direnni rule them, the Altmer never go near the Orsimer’s lands or Orsinium in fear that the Orc’s mighty warriors would defeat their own. Not much else is known by the Orcs either, other than that they provide safe haven to many of the beast races that reside in the surrounding areas, such as the Goblins and Ogres.
*We’re going by the assumption that Mer live slightly longer than Nedes nearly as old as 160, thus age comparisons are allowed.
Races-Beasts:
Argonians: The Argonians made their homeland the Black Marsh, or more optimistically, Argonia. The lizard men worship the great trees, the Hist, which are like prophets to them. The Argonians live in a tribal society, often in cooperation with the native Kothringi Nedes. Their appearance can vary greatly, some have been reported to have the face of the ancient dragons and the body of a humanoid, and some have been reported to appear as crocodiles that can stand upright.
Khajiit: The Khajiit and their leaders, the Manes, have been occupying Elsweyr for a very long time, longer than the Mer have been on Tamriel. They have a tense peace with their neighbours the Bosmer, which is occasionally interrupted by raids from either side across the border. The nearby Nedes don’t know much about their feline neighbours over than that they make great rogues and traders.
Imga: The Imga, or Great Apes, are native beastfolk of Valenwood. They see the Bosmer as their lords and masters and as a portrait of an ideal, civilized society. Imga go to desperate measures to emulate the Aldmeri: they wear capes, practice with the dueling sword, and attempt to speak with perfect enunciation and courtly manners despite their gravelly, baritone voices. Each Imga bears some kind of title, be it Baron, Duke, Earl, or the like, which they use when addressing the members of the Thalmor, however there are no land-owning Imga. The Imga feel that Men are underneath them and pretend to find their scent exceedingly insulting.
*We’re going by the assumption that Beastfolk live slightly shorted than Nedes, with Argonians averaging 60-70 years, Khajiit averaging 40-55 years and Imga around about 40-60 years.

Even if you do wish to try and find the pieces of the blade, you have to start in the capital of Skyrim; Windhelm, as a renowned collector will make a speech outside his manor claiming that he will pay the man (or woman) a handsome reward who will bring him the three objects that fell to Nirn on the same night, as he believes they have some sort of correlation.
