And to say that the snake people are definitly snakes is a very bold claim. Many say that it could be entirely metaphoricle. And others say that when they "eat" other races they simply merge there culture with thier own and become the same race or something like that. These people are shrouded in so much mystery, just like the rest of Akavir, the its ahrd to say anything about them, they could have snake traits. Or the term "snake"men could of come from some deed they did in thier past. I however do ont believe that, even if this was there original idea, that beth. will make them have the torso of a snake and the upper body of a man. I think that simply men or mer who have a very great Golden aura around them would be cool enough, as longs as they gave them some new and cool facial features, maybe like vampire vangs.
maybe that is where the snake comes from, the snakelike fangs
I am pretty sure it was confirmed they had snake lower bodies though, or at least tails
but like I said, maybe that is just because they drank the blood of dragons
It was "confirmed" in the book 2920, a book that also described Vivec as "a tall Dunmer" who had a full head of hair, and the Night Mother as the leader of the Morag Tong instead of the Dark Brotherhood, and other discrepancies with established lore. In short while it's an entertaining read that does contain some truth, I'd be loathe to use it as a final statement on Tsaesci physical appearance.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Is vivec not allowed to have had hair at some point? I mean . . . he shaves his head now . . . but that doesnt mean he never had hair

From what I remember the Tsaesci, as discussed already, are keen on devouring - however literal that is - their enemies. As it's been suspected they have weather-control magicks at their disposal, it would not be impossible for them to possess the ability to absorb to some extent the traits of their victims. I also seem to recall a description of their lower halves being a snakelike tail, with the upper half having humanoid arms and heads. Of course, maybe they are just golden-scaled and closer to the Argonians in being essentially pure reptilian humanoids.

But the lore changes, the Akavir being snake men could be old ideas. And allot of the Akavir books could be very metaphorical

MK just posted this at the official forums.
Apparently it's from the Second PGE, which has never surfaced officially yet but which apparently exists as a thing somewhere. It's an interesting spin on the inhabitants and customs of Cathnoquey.
