Re: Future RP Ideas
Hey guys, I was just thinking, if I managed to flesh it out enough, would anyone join in on a Elder Scrolls RP set in the First Era, with races like the Dwemer, Chimer, Ayleids, Nedes, Falmer and so forth, obviously there would be more races than that but you get the idea?

What events/time would it take place in the First Era, because there's a lot of pivotal moments...

Re: Future RP Ideas
Maybe round about the time of the Alessian uprising, or a bit later so that there is a sort of cold war between the Imperials and the remaining Ayleids. But if it were to include all of the races I mentioned it would have to be a Tamriel wide event.

Re: Future RP Ideas
So probably near the end of the third century, right after Allesia's ascension and Belharza takes the throne
Or possibly the Cyrodiil-Direnni Wars in the fourth
That could be interesting

Re: Future RP Ideas
I did consider the Cyrodill-Direnni Wars as well, as it would allow involvement of the many other Nedic races (I was thinking of including the Kothringi, but not many people can be them as from what sources i've read they were very sparsely spread throughout Black Marsh). But if i'm doing the wars which focus mostly on Cyrodiilic-Ayleid/Altmer conflict, how am I supposed to be able to involve the other races at the time such as the Dwemer and the likes. Although if I did the Cyrodiil-Direnni wars that would take up most of northern Tamreil, and the RP doens't specifically have to about it just set in that time, I just have to think of how an adventure could form.

Re: Future RP Ideas
Well, it could be about some kind of powerful artifact or ancient threat found in Hammerfell since the previous stated time periods makes that province completely vacant since even Clan Rourken of the Dwemer had yet to leave from Morrowind. It would also be in the vicinity of the Direnni-Cyrodiil war to the nouth/east and the Skyrim War of succession later on (1E 369 - 1E 420) to the Northeast. It could play out as a battle along the border that turns horribly wrong. Not sure how you'd fit Dwemer into this time period though

Re: Future RP Ideas
I was kind of thinking players could just choose the Dwemer race, as the Dwemer were around at that time, and Dwemer could easily leave the comfort of their cities to adventure. At the time of the Alessian empire started warring with the Direnni, wasn't the Alessian Empire protruding a bit into Hammerfell as well? As well as that wasn't Skyrim on the High Rock/Hammerfell side of the Dragontail Mountains?
I like the artifact idea as well, i'll have to try and think of something intelligent and original.

Re: Future RP Ideas
I'm onto something good, I might be able to get it started some time in the coming week, i've got a reasonable map started, I have a good idea of the races involved, the kingdoms at the time and a skeleton to the main story.

Most of the things you need to know about the First Era should be posted in the OP, or eventually posted in the actual RP.

Re: Future RP Ideas
Well, i'll be starting this RP tomorrow if everything goes right for me, and then I will lay out the character sheet and so forth, but for previews sake I think I will make the races like so (bear in mind this is the first era, there is a lot of disdain between Mer and Nedes):
Nedic Peoples:
Imperials (Homeland: Alessian Empire)
Nords (Homeland: Skyrim)
Bretons (Homeland: Direnni Hegemony)
Kothringi (Homeland: Black Marsh, visit the UESP site if you are not learned on this race)
Mer Peoples:
Altmer (Homeland: Summerset Isles, Direnni Hegemony)
Ayleids (Homeland: Kingdom of Nenalata (that one in Cyrodiil that is orange))
Chimer (Homeland: Resdayn (these were the Dunmer before they were corrupted, look up Almalexia on UESP or Morrowind and that is what Chimer look like))
Dwemer (Homeland: Resdayn, Volenfell (from the creature Dwemer ghost in Morrowind, Dwemer look like Altmer that have darker skin and have beards but I dont think every Dwemer wouldve had one))
Bosmer (Homeland: Valenwood)
Orsimer (Homeland: Orsinium (A state in the Wrothgarian Mountains in the Direnni Hegemony))
Falmer (Homeland: Various Dwemer cities (They are not yet corrupted by the Dwemer, thus I imagine they are like Almter, but have much pale skin due to living in the harsh north))
Beast Folk:
Argonians (Homeland: Black Marsh)
Khajiit (Homeland: Elsweyr)
Imga (Homeland: Valenwood (upright Gorillas))
Nedic Peoples:

Redguards didn't sail east until 1E 792, maybe it is set before that.

I just looked up the Imga, they seem funny.

Re: Future RP Ideas
Yes it is, although the Alessian Empire and the Dwemer occupy eastern Volenfall, wester Volenfall are a notorious badlands filled with bandits, marauders and smugglers.
And yes when I create this I wonder if many will choose to make an Imga?

I don't know. I think I would be one, maybe. I just imagine myself gaggin whenever I come in contact with a human.
