Looking for Good Modding Tutorials
I've been wanting to get into modding for a while now, but I have no experience with the field, either in Skyrim or in the past ES games. I've tried finding tutorials and help online, but no good intro-to-modding articles/videos show up. Does anyone know of a good resource for a beginning modder?

Re: Looking for Good Modding Tutorials
What sort of modding are you looking to get into?
In Oblivion at least, the construction set would let you do things like placing objects, setting NPC AI, scripting quests and events, changing enchantments, and that sort of thing. For this sort of modding, I would recommend reading this series: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/A_ ... Set_Primer
Creating objects with new textures and normal maps (and glow maps if applicable) is more difficult, but with a BSA unpacker, a texture replacing app, and a graphics editor such as photoshop with the nvidia dds plugin (which also lets you turn height maps into normal maps) is really all you need. Assuming you know your way around your graphics editor of choice, this guide covers what you need to know: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php/Re ... _Made_Easy
If you want to start creating totally new meshes, with physics, animations, particle effects and that sort of thing, you'll have to spend some quality time with a 3d modeling tool like blender and then use something like nifscope. I'll let somebody else recommend a guide for that, because personally I've never bothered to figure it out! You can fake some of it by using just nifscope and existing resources from a variety of sources, but even that is fairly involved.
