A Map of Nirn

Post by VirtualWeasel »

Hello there, people.
No, I'm not presenting to you a map of all of Nirn, but I had a thought today...
Basing it entirely off of lore (Excluding Tamriel), I want to make a map of all of Nirn!
So, I've made this thread for any discussion on the subject, so that if any of you would like to offer discussion over lore and the like.

And P.S. to the mods, I wasn't sure if to put this in Lore or TES General, so move it if you'd like! :D

So you're talking about piecing together reports and stories to pin point islands as say for Akavir?
What of Atmora and potentially the Old Aldmeri islands/Old Ehlnofey?

I have a good idea where Pyandonea is. If you look on the pyandonea page on UESP, on the globe you will notice an island just south of the summerset isles, maybe that's it? Plus, if you look at the Yokuda article it gives a good idea of where a few of the western islands are.

There is an article in the Lore subforum that contains a link to a user-made map of nirn.

I'll post the link when i find it.

Edit: This is the link to the thread, and here is the link to the map.

This map is more accurate/canonical/lore friendly than the one posted (half of which is completely made up, and the other half is completely out of whack). While making a map of all Nirn is an admirable goal, we don't really know the geography of anything beside Tamriel and Yokuda, and only know the general locations of several other lands.

Now that too is a nice map. I always was of the mind that Narsis was further north on the Thir river, but I know that's not a view shared by all, and it hardly detracts from the sheer detail of the map.

That's because it is :) There's a couple other issues on there as well, but it's still the most comprehensive map we've got.

Very, very general. This image is all we really know:

We can barely make out Tamriel on that globe (in fact, it doesn't look much like Tamriel at all), so it's hardly an ideal source.
