Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
The one problem I have with Valenwood, is how Bethesda would pull off the walking tree city of Falinesti. I would love for it to actually move, but if it were to end up in a game, it'd probably have taken root unfortunately.
Alinor would also be a city that has the potential to be simply breathtaking, but only if they do it right. A glittering city made from glass or insect wings, could be amazing, but could also be a relative failure, depending on how they go about it.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
technology is not far enough for valenwood
elseweyr and black marsh would require the addition of new races (black marsh is more plausible though)
Hammerfell, High Rock, and Summerset Isle are the safest bets
High Rock I think is most likely because they have alot of experience in euro fantasy, it would provide the opportunity to use dragons again, orsinium would be a unique and alien place to visit, hopefully it would have centaurs, it has a new vibe too more chivalric and medevel than cyrodil or skyrim
I have my money on High Rock or Hammerfell
But there is also the chance they will want to boot the aldmeri dominion so summerset isle maybe

Elsweyr.
Rainforest and Desert.
Sounds different to me, I'd like a change we havent had those types of locations yet.
Though i dont remember Morrowind to good.
Besides i want to see the other versions of the Khajiit and maybe even play them.
Edit: Actually Maybe combine Elsweyr with Valenwood because then we could have a war going on as they compete for land

I'm torn between Summerset Isle and "Other", being either the whole of Tamriel or part of Akivir.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
I am sick of this "whole of Tamriel"/"whole of Nirn" thing. I know a good deal of us would sell internal organs and wait a decade to see it come to fruition, but the fact and the matter is that they don't have the resources to do it. Just speaking of what we'd like, though, then yes, that would be perfect. Speaking realistically, though: no. We're fanboys, the lot of us, but we're not clinically insane.
The way I see it is...
Morrowind, while lots has changed, was visited only two games ago;
Hammerfell has plenty of internal strife going for it, but as of Skyrim we've probably had our fill of anti-Empire sentiments and Dwemer ruins (at least for now), so I can't see Beth jumping at the opportunity (even though only a fraction of it was in DF);
High Rock hasn't been seen in a while but would need a good deal of fleshing out due to its relative lack of recent events and size as a province.
Then there's also...
Valenwood, whose descriptions of its fantastical moving cities/centaurs/Imga/mystical forest creatures leave me salivating, and whose Wild Hunt/Aldmeri Dominion shenanigans have potential as plot devices;
Elsweyr, which could be combined with Valenwood in a duo as was done in DF, is a land highly varied in history and Khajiiti morphs ("cities so old the sands have swallowed them whole"... *drool*);
Summerset Isles had a good deal of rumours going for it in Oblivion and is naturally separated as with Vvardenfell, although we might be sick of the Thalmor;
Black Marsh gives probably the best chance of understanding the Argonians and Hist better, although fleshflies and constant wading through swamps presents issues.
Outside of Tamriel:
Yokuda is sleeping with the fishes so let's not talk about that. Atmora isn't exactly open for tourists now either.
Akavir is ripe for exploration but it would lose some of its mystique if used as a setting - I like the idea of an unknown land in the East - and having four or five new races not very friendly to Tamrielites is a problem in itself.
Pyandonea and Thras again are potentially very interesting as the Maormer and Sload would no doubt be great fun, but - again - are not exactly best friends with Tamrielites... however, having them as protagonists in a Valenwood/Elsweyr game - due to their relatively proximate location - would be frickin' sweet.
Remember also that time, as well as location, could be a factor. For example RG was set long before the main series, and while DF, MW and OB were mostly only decades apart Skyrim was a full two centuries, meaning that a "prequel" of sorts not only is a possibility, but also a new avenue for game design.
I realise this is all more about practicality rather than wishes, but that's just me I suppose.
Okay, obsessive rant over.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
... Do you know what would be awesome? Say you start in any part of Tamerial (K, let's say Cyrodil) And you choose your race,birthsign,ect. then at the start you're in jail (lawl) you break out, ect. Then you come across a deadric worshiper and a Nine divine worshipper, you have to take side, then a whole questline takes place of if you want to worship The divines or the daedrea, once you fulfil you duties, you are sent into Oblivion (Or the Nine divines place, not sure what it's called) and you have to do more quests there. Once you're finished that, you are sent to A NEW PLANET. Yes, this will open new posibilites for TES Now, this won't be like a sc-fi thing, because you are just moving through realms. Then, it will be like a religion war, you have to clam land in the name of your religion, once you converted everyone, you go back to the planes of oblvion, and show who is the most bad-ass religion. Now, you could teleport between lands so if you have side quests in Nirn, you can do them. This is my idea of what could happen.

I really don't want elsweyr and valenwood combined into one game.. imagine all the more content if they where separate.

Yokuda
Endured the three. Endured for all
Vivec, he led. The star he held
Them came the fall, the fall of four
From godhood fell the three
And followed the fourth
All to ashs, conquered or gone
But forget you not the tribunal
The gods of Dunmer blood
Vivec, he led. The star he held
Them came the fall, the fall of four
From godhood fell the three
And followed the fourth
All to ashs, conquered or gone
But forget you not the tribunal
The gods of Dunmer blood

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
We know that ships sailed between Anvil and Yokuda during the events of TES IV, so clearly there must be at least an archipelago left, maybe made up of old mountain tops and higher plateaus of what was once Yokuda. Either that, or the ships are chocked full of wizards with very long-lasting and powerful Water Breathing and Feather spells - underwater, ancient Yokudan swag for all!CorneliusFunk wrote:Yokuda is sleeping with the fishes so let's not talk about that. Atmora would be a clean slate, but I wouldn't dwell on it, personally. We know nothing of it, and perhaps it's best left that way.

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?
True, but given the size of them (not that this has much of an effect seeing as game world sizing is hugely inaccurate from game to game) and immediate proximity of them (I don't believe there is a mountain range in between as there often are with the other provinces) as well as the racial conflict between Bsomer and Khajiit, I would be happy with it. That said, there could still be just one of those regions, while still containing a good amount of the Bosmer-Khajiit aspect - not to mention the Thalmor.Vendetta wrote:I really don't want elsweyr and valenwood combined into one game.. imagine all the more content if they where separate.
I seem to remember the Anvil-Yokuda thing being more anecdotal than established fact, but yes I do remember it. Regardless, after such a cataclysm I doubt there would be enough left for a province-sized game world, not to mention the likelihood of homogeneity (mountains and plateaus with largely Redguards compared to the variety of geography/culture found in the average TES game). As for Atmora, we do know that its name translates to Elder Wood, but that's not much to go on, and like Yokuda it's implied that it's another land lost to time.Tulkas wrote:We know that ships sailed between Anvil and Yokuda during the events of TES IV, so clearly there must be at least an archipelago left, maybe made up of old mountain tops and higher plateaus of what was once Yokuda. True that. I guess the only way it might work is if Bethesda declares it a Redguard sequel (aka Elder Scrolls Adventures II) and goes all Wind Waker on usCorneliusFunk wrote:Regardless, after such a cataclysm I doubt there would be enough left for a province-sized game world, not to mention the likelihood of homogeneity (mountains and plateaus with largely Redguards compared to the variety of geography/culture found in the average TES game).

I must be clinically insane because all of Nirn still gets my vote. It's not a dream it's what I expect Bethesda to be working on while providing us with a unique look at each province of Tamriel and eventually the other continents that still apply unless, as mentioned, a prequel is rendered. I fully expect this project to take not just one but perhaps multiple decades to complete. That is fine as long as it is completed at some point. As far as what shouldn't be next I'd say that if Atmora is similar in appearance to Skyrim then it may be in poor taste to make that the next location, even though it's the land I may be most excited to visit.

Huntershound, remember that the last proto-Nords leaving Atmora are recorded as saying that it had become a frozen wasteland. I think it's rather lost. Well, not lost as such like most of Yokuda is, but not, like I said, open to tourists. I have to reiterate, though: do you seriously expect Beth to not only take on all of Tamriel/Nirn, but also for ZeniMax to fund them for a decade or more?

There is potential in a frozen wasteland if after all this time it is still the same. Who is to say the proto-Nords aren't still up there? If there is money to be made then yes. I'm not suggesting they stop producing other games but they should begin allocating part of their staff to begin this project.

I'd say either Valenwood or Black Marsh. Out of the two I'd prefer Black Marsh as it would let us see more of what the Hist actually is. I'd also like to see what they do with the area. Valenwood would be interesting as well, as I would enjoy looking into how the Bosmer's home would be.

Elsweyr and Summerset Isles. Two interesting races. Plus in Summerset Isle, the Thalmor can be expanded on.

The last of the emigrants. They said it had become a frozen wasteland, implying they were the last to leave, that it was now uninhabitable. Regardless of that Skyrim was white enough so I can't honestly see Atmora cropping up any time soon at least.Huntershound wrote:There is potential in a frozen wasteland if after all this time it is still the same.
