Where would I live?
I am just wondering where everyone would like to live if things were real life, not a game. Please answer the poll and give us a reason. I will allow you to rechoose in case you become influenced.

Valenwood for me. I feel that it has a temperate climate, not too cold and not too hot, and the idea of cities built on trees sounds awesome.

Re: Where would I live?
I love Morrowind, but the climate there is too... ashy. I might live in the mainland, though. It's not that bad, I hear. Or I coul possibly steal an Oblivion command and change the weather.
If that weren't possible, I'd live in Cyrodiil. It seems such a happy place(except for some things involving Dagon), so I'd live there.

Yeah, Cyrodiil feels like a modern day place, but with a twist.

The Summerset Isle. Imagine all that class, culture and intelligence of the Altmer contained in the beautiful, silent lagoons and misty forests. I can also imagine the Altmer to be less snobbish in their homeland, as there's less need to do so there. Next to that, I kind of like the idea of domesticated goblins acting as slaves and servants.

Skyrim, because it's cold and snowy.

Well, it seems we have no two votes in the same place. Well, we could look at this good and bad.

Orsinium, maybe because I'm an orc fanboy but I think it would be cool to see orcish society first hand. I would probably get killed though

I'd love to live in either Anvil, Skingrad, Chorrol, Bruma, Cheydinhal or Leyawiin. So Cyrodiil

Summerset, as I remember explaining before somewhere
. I like the Beach, I like the thought of unimaginable beauty, the climate seems nice, and the thought of a society of knowledge and wisdom is most appealing.

Re: Where would I live?
Cheydinhal, Cyrodiil - that's the only place for my s'witty heart. That is still one of my favorite towns in all the TES games. The location is nice and scenic, the architecture is charming, and I think I could live with a crazy sect of people who say "Huzzah!" constantly. (Honestly. I would sign up...possibly more for the drinking than the "Huzzah!"s, but, you know.)
I like Cyrodiil the best. It has a little bit of everything, and, really, it's very picturesque. I could imagine myself going for long rides through the Gold Coast, or the Great Forest, of having a picnic in the West Weald. It's just a place I could feel at home in, I think.

Huzzah!

Chorrol in Cyrodiil, that's where my heart lies. As Arch Mage of the Mages Guild & Master of the Fighters guild, i'd definitely wish to retire there. Arborwatch is a lovely property.
I used to be an adventurer, but then I broke my GF's IPhone 4 & she mutilated me in a rather personal manner

Re: Where would I live?
It would be a hard choice (even though I already voted for Morrowind
), but I think either Morrowind, or now that Duruza mentioned it, Summerset Isle sounds nice
.

Re: Where would I live?
The Illiac Bay of course, but, it has nothing to do with scantily clad women in every temple....or my new religious direction now that I visited the Temple of Dibella in Daggerfall.....nah I kid, I kid.
In all seriousness, I say Cyrodiil, mostly because it's a lot like Britain where I live, and i'm not one for too much change, and too be fair temperate climates are the best. If I were to say a specific city, Anvil, mostly because of the picturesque view from the bay, or Skingrad, but that crazy bosmer scares me.

Re: Where would I live?
for me its a hard decision 'Aldmeri dominion' or' Resadyn'. the fan-boy within me says 'Morrowind' but alinor/valenwood would definetly be really cool place to live mabey i'll just visit or take a sabbatical once in a while.

Re: Where would I live?
Hammerfell is like the Mid East, too much dessert and too many people fighting each other for no apparent reason (i.e. Crowns and Forebears).
And no this is not an attempt to trivialise either conflict.
I'm a little surprised such a large number would endure the ash of Morrowind though. But then, I guess they might all be aiming for the Deshaan or the Thir, or maybe the Ascandian Isles?

The South is more cosmopolitan and developed than the more arid and sparse North, iirc
