Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
Straight to the point, percentage of the likelihood of the player actually getting to perform a finishing move on a Dragon? I've done it before, and Lordy, it's the best frickn' thing since sliced bread.

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
Its factored into your critical hit, the dragons health, your position to the dragons body, and the weapon you have. On the PC I was able to change my percentage to higher because I too loved that cinematic of your avatar killing the dragon.

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
I'm not such a big fan of the dragon killing animation. It's a bit 'disconnected' if you ask me. I'm getting the the kill manoeuvre about one in ten.
I used to be an adventurer, but then I broke my GF's IPhone 4 & she mutilated me in a rather personal manner

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
I think it's quite low, but that's just because I kill most dragons with spells.
I'm on a rollercoaster that only goes up

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
I seem to have a [roughly] 80% chance of seeing the 'cinematic'. Alright, thats a gross overstatement, but it certainly feels like it.
Slightly off topic, but has anyone seen an NPC perform this finishing move? If so, is this normal? The other day I was playing the game on my 360, and my room mate (who plays on PC) walked into the living room and asked me if I wanted "to see Kharjo kill a dragon", since we're always joking about him (he shot me in the knee once, etc).
I walked into his room and he resumes playing the game as Kharjo finishes that initial swing of the animation before jumping onto the dragon's head. He wasn't his follower; his caravan just happened to be nearby. He has in no way altered the game with any mods. It was the greatest thing I've ever seen in this game. I'd love to see some random citizen with a dagger do this.

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
I have never seen a finishing move on anybody with a mage, except for those times I whipped out a dagger and poked a guy who made me use up all my MP at low level.
Earlier characters would regularly (maybe 1 out of 3 or 4 times) get finishing moves on dragons once I super-charged my stamina and thus always power attacked.

If they weren't nords, but instead dunmer or redguards, nobody would call them "racist".

My thoughts also, why not finishers for magic?Wolfie wrote:Spells do not have finshersis why
You have finishers for combat and stealth why not magic?

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
Well I've seen a random guard perform the finishing move to a dragon during whiterun dragon attack. I was very far from the dragon that time. As for myself, I think finishing moves to dragon happen quite often if not everytimes.

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
At the farm just past the stables in markarth where the old lady lives with the grumpy farmer wanting to give the letter to his son a dragon attacked me just down the road from there. I ran back hoping to get help from a guard but no it was me and the old lady against the dragon. SHE gets a finishing move on it with an IRON dagger. The best part about this is her husband was halfway down the road cowering.

Of the 25+ dragons I've slayed, I have gotten 1 finishing move. And a bear did most of the work anyway.

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
I've done them, maybe one on each save game I've had, but it was satisfying as heck. The only problem with these animations is that you can't perform them on Alduin.

Re: Dragon - Finishing Moves Percentage?
Now that I think about it the more overpowering I've become the less I see it. I saw it all the time at the start and almost never now.
