Overencumbered... feather spell doesn't exist?
How??? I'm always overencumbered for some reason, even with my weightless armour perk and constantly dropping off all my potions...
Is there a feather spell?
I've found some increase carry weight boots I'm going to disenchant/enchant, but I figure without some more enchanting perks i'll have only 8 or 10 ten more units of carry

Increase Carry enchantment can give you a lot more if your enchanting skill and perks are high enough and you use a Grand Soul Gem.
You can also make a potion of Fortify Carry Weight using:
Creep Cluster
Giant's Toe
Hawk Beak
River Betty
Scaly Pholiota
Wisp Wrappings
Put any two of those together to make the potion.

The amount you can carry is dictated by your max stamina. Fortify Stamina.

Fortify Stamina enchantments and potions do not increase your carry weight. Thus the reason they have Fortify Carry Weight enchanments and potions.Lindai wrote:The amount you can carry is dictated by your max stamina. Fortify Stamina.
Now if you mean "invest in stamina when you level up" then, yes, that increaes carry weight. But it doesn't sound like the OP wants to have to level up just to be able to carry more.

Re: Overencumbered... feather spell doesn't exist?
Yeah, no investment in stamina... only 5 lbs a level isn't enough for me justify...
Thanks for the recipes, I only had 2 ingredients discovered so far..

Re: Overencumbered... feather spell doesn't exist?
I really don't know why I have such weight trouble.
I guess its all the potions, even tho I've gotten rid of all the stamina and minor magicka.
The claws are only .5, so the claws I am carrying are only 4.5.
finn's lute bug, invocation of azura bug, and amulet of talos (x3) are only 8 lb.
(what quest do these talos amulets go to??)

Does the fortify stamina seem to make items weigh less? I will put on and take off clothes I've found with that enchant and it just looks like my weight carried drops, not my max weigh I am able to carry. any one know what's the deal with this?
Why did potions have to ALL weigh .5?

I was saying that it seemed like a fortify stamina lowered the actual weight of my items, not the max I can carry.Spiney wrote:Cuddle_Fish wrote:Does the fortify stamina seem to make items weigh less?Musicman247 wrote:Fortify Stamina enchantments and potions do not increase your carry weight. the nightengale armor for example fortifies stamina by like 30% I think.
here's what it looks like happens
Armor off: 345/350
Armor on: 340/350
Those numbers are made up, but I have noticed this happening. Why is this?
Because carrying five swords and multiple suits of armor is? Grrr, Those people.cause lots of pepole complained .1 was unrelistic

Well, you kinda have to carry that much if you actually want to succeed in the game(unless you roleplay hardcore).Cuddle_Fish wrote: Because carrying five swords and multiple suits of armor is? Grrr, Those people.

Not really. What would you need multiple sets of armor for?addictedtomorrowind wrote:Well, you kinda have to carry that much if you actually want to succeed in the game(unless you roleplay hardcore).Cuddle_Fish wrote: Because carrying five swords and multiple suits of armor is? Grrr, Those people.

I was thinking more of a "loot! Yay!" standpoint. Although, my point isn't really valid, is it?

Re: Overencumbered... feather spell doesn't exist?
I'm currently sitting at 184/692 on my character, but I only carry my one set of armor and one sword, one bow. Most the weight on my character are books that I haven't bothered to take home yet.
Between the Steed Stone, the Extra Pockets perk and the 20 levels I've put into stamina I get by rather well. I'm also not much of a hoarder beyond Ultimate level potions, gems and books.

Re: Overencumbered... feather spell doesn't exist?
I don't carry much around; my current suit of armor, my current bow, my current dagger, some potions and poisons, I see a lot of crap in dungeons, but I don't pick 'em up unless they are at a 1:8 weight:value ratio, and only if I feel like it, looting in this game is overrated. But if I generally don't find a use for something, I'll just sell it.
There isn't a feather spell, (nor is there chameleon >[] ) but there is fortify carry weight.
I am puzzled by what you're carrying around that makes you so heavy, plz explain?

Re: Overencumbered... feather spell doesn't exist?
What in the world are you carrying that weighs 220 and is all necessary? I am at level 54 and have the heavy armor perk that makes all heavy armor weightless, and my carry weight is something like 620. I have a FULL set of Daedric Armor, a Daedric sword, and Daedric Bow. My weight when I start on a travel mission is around 45-50. It seems you are packing your suitcase for 3 weeks when going for a overnight sleepover.zzar wrote:I forgot about the steed stone...problem solved.

45-50 is a tinge on the light side, but I don't understand how anyone can exceed 100 without carrying tons of unnecessary junk. Unless you REALLY like having a set of resistance equipment on you at all times, or poison every single attack you make.

Re: Overencumbered... feather spell doesn't exist?
Daedric Bow, dual Daedric swords, full Daedric armor set + shield... that's well over 100 weight right there. But resistance gear tends to become necessary when high end dragons and casters start showing up. An Ancient dragon's breath attack can easily drop 200HP in one shot, and I've had my 300HP hero nuked quite fast by casters. Unless you're stealthing hardcore, you need resist equipment.azuarc wrote:45-50 is a tinge on the light side, but I don't understand how anyone can exceed 100 without carrying tons of unnecessary junk.
