Greatswords, Battleaxes, or Warhammers?

I'm not sure which one to use for my two-handed Nord.

I know that in damage, from least to greatest, it goes Greatsword, Battleaxe, Warhammer

Then in speed of swing it goes, from least to greatest, Warhammer, Battleaxe, Greatsword.

And also perk wise. So far the Greatsword's perks look the best, but I don't really know what "bleeding damage" is.

And also, just a seperate question, would you think a Nord Warrior viking type character would join the Dark Brotherhood? I'm thinking no, but it would

be a good excuse to kill the Emperor. But roleplaying wise, it's not like my character would know that he was going to do that.

I'm trying to make the perfect character so I don't know if I should destroy the guild or not.

Additional damage-over-time. Basically, you have a chance to inflict a hidden "Damage Health over 6 Seconds" effect with an axe.

The sharper the axe, the bigger the perk, the greater the damage over those 6 seconds.

Yes. Nord Warrior Vikings would fit right in with the proud and noble Brotherhood; they are, after all, the most egalitarian and all-inclusive group in Tamriel. If you've got the skills of a killer and the heart of a true hero, the Brotherhood would be happy to accept you and your (Warhammer!) into the fold!

Bleeding damage is damage spread over 6 seconds based on the base damage of the axe.
According to the Wiki, it's 18 damage with a Daedric axe and it stacks. I find it quite useful.
I wouldn't recommend warhammers. Though the armour penetration might sound powerful, most foes have low armour skills and don't really have much of an armour rating, so it's complete overkill.

Swords still have that B-E-Autiful critical damage, and that faster swing.
Although it makes me sad that they're not called Claymores anymore.

I'm partial to the battleaxes myself, but mostly for aesthetic reasons; I just think they look really cool this time around.

my nord goes with battleaxe, because i dont have to bother finishing off enemies while in 6 vs. 2 fight, they just bleed to death
