Re: Banning Skyrim in the US?
haha this is excellent
i have actually seen a few sites complaining about same sex marriage being "promoted and accepted" with people moaning that kids shouldn't be exposed to it, rather amusing to be fair, people have to much time on there hands

Actually, yes, some of them. Or have you forgotten about Jack Thompson already?DorostheConqueror wrote:Honestly, do people really think this how the Christian Right behaves? I know they can be insufferable at times, but there's a fine line between clever parody and outright demonization.

I think it's hilarious, what passes for fact nowadays. "it's been proven", "video games corrupt", "they make people kill each other". There hasn't been a lot of valid research on the subject, but what research there is doesn't suggest that video games have any real emotional impact, with the exception that they can prevent face to face social interacting. It goes on to state that games especially multiplayer games provide ample amount of other firms of interaction.
There was a case in London, England where two youths casually walked in to a store & shot dead a young woman. Immediately the newspapers picked up on the fact that one of them regularly played COD. Then people started to believe that games like this can cause violence. What wasn't shown in the newspapers is the other youth didn't even own a console & wasnt a fan of gaming at all.
This is what society is like, always looking for a scapegoat. In the 1950s it was rock n roll, in the 60s & 70s it was the hippies, in the 80s & 90s it was violent films. What mist of these people don't realise is that the people who commit these crimes already have a lot going wrong in their head already & nothing much us going to change that one way or another.

I used to be an adventurer, but then I broke my GF's IPhone 4 & she mutilated me in a rather personal manner

I'd buy that copy, it would make the game more difficult since I'd be dying from laughter all too oftenEvil-i wrote:Perhaps this version of Skyrim will be accepted.

I agree to sign this, whoever made a rip-off of Skyrim and the people stupid enough to buy it need to put in jail.

LOL love the signature block.
In any case, christians bring this kind of trolling on themselves. Always up in arms about homosexuality and teaching evolution in schools, and violent video games. You just can't help but pick on them.
