The night wind howled and a chill filled the air as the inhabitants of the last remaining sanctuary of Azura's Grace slumbered, resting high above Tamriel upon their floating refugee.
Each of the residents of the small alcove had journeyed far from across Tamriel to seek refugee under Azura's watch, to repent for past sins, to escape from the horrors of the world around them. Under the protection of Azura they had begun to flourish, a beacon of hope in a sea of dark and despair, of war and famine, of injustice and hate. But by the Moon and the Sun, they had shone too bright.
As their Lady welcomed the new day with the Dawn, as the first rays of sunlight struck the Temple of Azura, the residents of Azura's Sanctuary were to be met with a sight that struck them with a fear they had not felt for longer than they could remember. Strung up from the archway that led into the Shrine, hung the body of Duruza, one of the inhabitants, still garbed in his white robe, his ubiquitous Katana still sheathed by his side. A huge gash stretched from shoulder to hip across his body, blood still seeping from the wound. Both eyes had been gouged out, staring down as if looking into the very hearts and minds of those who stood before the Temple that dark day.
As the others watched, a note fluttered down from where it had been nailed into the Dunmer's forehead, caught by a sudden, unnatural gust of wind that shook their very souls and chilled them to the bone. Before they could go out to take the note, a voice boomed throughout the heavens, reverberating as it resonated through the very rock they stood upon.
The time of reckoning is upon you! Too long have you been allowed to live in peace! You have tried to escape the reach of the most powerful of Gods, but you have failed miserably. For none escape the clutches of Mola Bal, King of Domination and Enslavement! Even now, my followers two lurk amongst you. They have slain your protector, Azura's chosen Champion. Bah! He could not stand against me, Azura cannot stand against me, what hope do any of you have of triumph? I will enjoy your demise, for you may try to flee, but let it be known, Molag Bal controls all.
The voice ceased, and the note fluttered into view. Scrawled upon the parchment, in handwriting only two could recognise, an ominous warning:
You haven't a hope. Prepare to meet your dooms.
Begin Day

Gromm Gro-gnok, retired mercenary and local drunkard, gazed at the body of the slain Duruza. Death had been a fairly common thing in his life, but on their home in the sky, it was unsettling. "Who would have a reason to kill him, I wonder." He mumbled to himself, still hungover from the previous night. It was then he heard the voice, from where it came he could not discern. Whoever it was, was playing a sick game on the inhabitants of their little community. Out of reflex he reached for his trusted silver battle axe, always strapped to his side, and eyed the crowd cautiously.
The sad truth is, kids today will never know why pikachu is never inside a pokeball.
Mars, the Dunmer battlemage, sat at the edge of the floating island, his legs dangling in the air. His mood was foul and his eyes angry, for Duruza had been a friend to him. He had moved beyond cursing Molag Bal and his followers and was now in a state of irrational bitterness.

Yay, I'm listed first on the list of players! Are we going to do the color thing, I will opt to unless I'm the only one.
Zeroc, a Dunmer that had come to Azura's Grace because he felt that, as a priest of Azura, it was his calling to help the others. He was sleeping in his room in the Chapel, and upon hearing the voice of Molag was stricken with outrage. "How dare you defile this place Molag!" he yelled into the air. "Azura save us... and guide Duruza's soul to Moonshadow." he said looking to the shrine.

I work at Ancestry, so does that make me an ancestor ghost?
Frost, the Altmer mage had come to Azura's Grace to try and find enlightenment. He had been studying when he heard Molag. He thought of how this might be beneficial for him, and if he could stay loyal to Azura while taking revenge on Duruza's behalf, as he had looked up to him so.
I know I joined late, and I do believe "the more, the merrier and all, but joining in now sort of defeats the purpose of the game - finding out which players are worshippers and which. There's been a thread discussing the game for ages, where people could sign up. But it isn't up to me, it's up to Duru.
Leilah, the owner of the only tavern in town , was on her way to her morning prayer at the shrine when she saw the body. She stared at it for a while, speechless. She'd come here in the hopes of escaping precisely this sort of thing, to start a new life, free from the violence that was so commonplace in her previous home town. "I don't suppose there's any chance this is just some sort of prank, is there?" she asked, her voice hollow.
Leilah does make a valid point FrostMage, unfortunately, accepting you this late would undermine the mystery of the game, as far as people could tell you were not a worshipper. I'd recommend you stay tuned with this game, if you're interested, and see how it goes. Also read over the Molag Bal Games 9 and #8 and stay posted for Molag Bal Game 12
Eltie, a little wisp of a Breton and the temple's alchemist, walked out of her house. She was absentmindedly polishing the large, round lenses of her glasses. Humming quietly ro herself, she walked around the corner and came into sight of Duruza's body. She fell to her knees. "Oh, mother of Dawn..." She whispered; trying the hold back the bile rising in her throat.
Per, a ruggedly clothed Bosmer, watched the others from a distance. As he twiddled his moustache, he was revising his arsenal of defensive spells. If this was not a wicked prank, he would need them.
Shadow, the Breton Spellsword, sigh and said "he was a good man.. shame he had to die.." after reading the note and sharpening his sword.

Plays-Video-Games, an Argonian skirmisher, walked out of his house to investigate the voice. He saw the dead body, thought for a few seconds, then spoke. "Heh... If Molag Bal thinks he can destroy us by killing one person, he's sorely mistaken. Duruza was far from the only warrior here, and I seriously doubt Azura would leave us in our time of need because her champion was killed by the entity that threatens us."

Aidan, who hadn't know many people here, saw the body of the slain person lying on the path. It was unnerving, he had never seen a dead body before. Nor a pool of blood.
Shadow went over to Aidan, who looked unnerved about Duru's body and blood "first time seeing one eh? you get use to it.. i think this molag bol means business" he said

"i mean.. he and his worshippers wont go away untill we're dead.. or they are.." Shadow said keeping a hand on his sword and a spell on his lips, ready to strike at the first threat. "molag bol is the daedric prince of rape, submission and slavery, he is one of the most evil Daedric prince that has been"

Gromm eyed Aidan, he didn't seem as accustomed to death as the other inhabitants. "It means," He began, brushing past him to get a better look at the body. "That he's not here for tea."
