Appearance: Fit, but not muscular. He has curly hair and a dirty face. He doesn't keep himself clean like most do.
Clothing and Armour: Usually seen wearing fuzzy pants and a tattered shirt.

Other possessions: he carries around a mushroom, a lizard's finger, tinderbox, flint stones, and wood shavings.
Personality: Kind, and messed up in the head. Is smart in a different way than most people. He is your average odd-ball.
Backstory: He was raised by his mother and was brought up to steal. His father was killed by a strange phycotic (I spelt that wrong) dwarf. He always lived in Bree and doesn't plan on leaving anytime soon.

Nah, matches wouldn't be around at that time. In our world, matches were invented in the nineteenth century. Perhaps a tinderbox or flint-stones would be more realistic.

Nationality: Dale, Laketown (I’d like some ideas of how their relation with the Mirkwood elves are, and the Dwarves)
Skills: Accurate and quick with his bow. Talented animal tracker and hunter, experienced in surviving in the outdoors.
Height: 5ft 11inches
Weight: 163 lbs
Appearance: Shoulder-length, light brown hair, often unkempt. Unshaven facial hair appears to be more as a stubble than a beard. Eyes – dark brown.
Clothing and Armour: Animal Hide armour (which allows for quick fighting and running), ; a black wool cloak underneath with a hood. Thick sturdy boots.
Weaponry: Mirkwood Longbow, given many years ago as a gift from the elves. 1 Short sword, very worn and battered. 1 Small dagger, often used when preparing food.
Other Possessions: Many outdoor cooking necessities, arrows, various ingredients from plants from the North of Middle Earth. A Book which tells the events of the attack of Laketown from Smaug and the Battle of Five Armies – General Reading Material.
Personality: Although quite reserved, is understanding, which allows him to play the diplomat in conflict situations, however he has a keen eye for things that are out of the ordinary and likes to believe he is quite knowledgeable of Middle Earth Lore...
Backstory: Hails from Laketown, and provides for himself by hunting and gathering, and as a result has become familiar with the nearby Elves, and has become wise to their tactics. He has recently travelled westward to try and find adventure. He has heard of a Bilbo Baggins who was involved in the Battle of Five armies, and his ‘nephew’ Frodo, the ring bearer. He feels that with the wise elves leaving, all men should have a good knowledge of all races, and is sceptical that the Hobbits are heroic at all.

I'd thought that but apparently

only a few still remain in middle earth outside of Mirkwood and Ithilien

But we'll see how much influence it's had on my character when the RP starts

That is correct, the elves of Mirkwood are the only ones to have stayed. And the elves of Ithilien, but they were elves of Mirkwood, anyways.

Weaponry: A Wizard's staff (a family heirloom), a dagger.
Other possessions: Powerful amulet which gives him some magic resistance (also a heirloom).
Personality: Doesn't talk much. Polite and gentle. Tries to be as much friendly as he can.
Backstory: Grew up in rather poor family. He's young, about 20 years of age. His whole bloodline is of wizards, but Nordenus seems to be somewhat unskilled when compared to his ancestors at his age. But he tries his best not to bring shame upon his name and dreams of being a great wizard someday.

This RP seriously needs a female character. So here goes. I hope you're fine with characters who are not well on their way to becoming the heroes of the land, my Mia is pretty much just a girl.

Name: Mia Willows
Sex: F
Race: Man
Nationality: Archet
Skills: She can cook, clean and generally do everything that needs to be done at an inn. She's also familiar with forests and can run fast, track, climb trees, recognize plants and herbs and hunt with her sling, which she can use almost as well as any halfling. Has a pretty good singing voice and a great memory, especially when it comes to songs and stories. She can also pick pockets, though not very well.
Height: Just a hair under 5 ft
Weight: 97 lbs
Appearance: Mia is short and skinny, with an almost boyish figure. She's pale and freckled and has shoulder length strawberry-blond hair, curly and always messy, despite her best efforts. She has blue-grey eyes, a slightly pointy nose and narrow face. She's not very pretty, though she has a cute smile.
Clothing and Armour: She prefers to wear boy's clothes, simple and functional, usually in dark colours. People usually assume she's a teenage boy, to her great annoyance. She has a warm coat of dark blue wool and a deep hood of the same material. (unless you're going to start the game in the middle of the summer, then I'll have to modify this a bit)
Weaponry: A small dagger, a sling and a pocketfull of pebbles.
Other possessions: Most of her possessions were stolen soon after she'd arrived in Bree. She managed to get back a silver pendant her mother gave her, it's her most valuable possession.
Personality: She's very stubborn, doesn't back out or give up (even when she probably should). A bit naive, still has a "head full of songs", as her mother used to say, though she's become more cautious and a bit cynical since she left home.
Backstory: Her family used to run a small inn in Archet, until her father was killed by bandits while hunting in Chetwood Forest. Her mother wasn't able to keep the place running by herself and had to sell it. Mia had to leave home and she travelled to Bree, looking for work and finding only trouble... (more in RP, I have a detailed backstory for her ready)
