Requesting advice: buy Skyrim now or wait for the new patch?

The title pretty much sums it up.

I have a break from work and I was wondering if finally buying Skyrim now or waiting until the new patch comes out and play it in the upcoming holidays.

I have been reading reports of strange things happening with 1.2. I play on the PC: are the issues gamebreaking or is it playable with the current patch?

If you don't mind all the broken quests and other bugs that Bethesda won't fix until at least next month, go ahead and get it now.

Personally, I'd wait a few more months for some of the issues to get hammered out.

Any small glitches that I've come across are in no way game breaking and don't detract from the experience at all. Most of the complaints are either unlucky bugs or just people being overly dramatic. Phrases like 'game breaking' and 'unplayable' are thrown around way too much these days, so don't let that sway you. My advice is get the game if you have time off, you won't regret it.

Well, if this isn't perfect timing, then I don't know what is.

I think I will go with martez's advice and get the game in spite of the bugs that are certainly going to be there. After all, I did enjoy playing Morrowind 1.0 a lifetime ago!
