price keep on decreasing

Post by jygglag »

From arena to skyrim, armor's prices are decreasing. the price of ebony cuirass in arena is 50000, in daggerfall is 38400, in morrowind is 35000, in oblivion is 1900, in skyrim is 1500. The price of common object like food and book are also drop sharply. the most important is tax from morrowind to oblivion is only 1 over 50-60. Can any one explain it .

I don't think its lore related, they just didn't want players to grind for money as much. It's one of those "gameplay over realism" kinda things I think.
Do you mind? I'm doing the fishstick. It's a very delicate state of mind.

I'd chalk that up to game mechanic. If you absolutely needed a lore reason for things like glass and ebony being cheaper, they used to be imported from Morrowind under a heavy tax under the Septim Empire. Maybe over the years since its collapse, new veins were found elsewhere and with the dissolution of Morrowind's government, the materials become much more cheaply imported into other provinces.

Also, when it comes to Daedric, I would assume there's lots of leftover suits of armor and weapons from the Oblivion crisis.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.
