Who else is enjoying the difficult parts of the game ?

Post by mcjordalini »

I am doing a quest in the Thieves Guild
Spoiler:
poisoning a meadery.
and it's particularly difficult because these Skeevers that I have to kill are poisoned and they drain my health like crazy. Now normally I play on Expert difficulty, but I had to lower to Adept in order to kill the first two in the dungeon, and now I have little potions left, and almost dying, and low fatigue ! >: (

Oh well though .. I'll get through it ... ... ... Somehow.

Who else has had parts of the game like this ? Or is it just me and, do I suck.

I enjoy having the game difficult. It is boring with too little challenge, so I enjoy it being somewhat difficult.

Agreed. The game can certainly be exploited, if you want. But its more enjoyable if you stick to a role play and don't exploit some of the inherent advantages, and play at a higher difficulty level

I find Expert difficulty to be just about right.

I cant recall any difficult part as of recently, early lv yes, but at 50 with best gear and enchantments its easy, but still fun, im on expert but i suggest after getting the best gear and enchantments at lv 50 that master becomes to perfect difficulty.

I'm playing on expert as well. In the beginning, dwemer ruins were a very tough challenge.

Then I learned some sneaking tricks (double dagger sneak attack giving x30 damage twice, x3 damage bow shoot a target up to 4 times and afterwards return to the shadows, ...), with 100 sneak, this is very easy. Now, at level 43, I feel OP. I should have set the difficulty on master. I blast through dungeons with some companion using destruction magic like it's nothing (500+ mana).

I'm level 40 on expert, I still have so much trouble with Falmer. @_@
Otherday I was in Tolvald's Cave etc. Came to a room near the end, had a Chaurus Reaper and three Falmer Shadowmasters. They were perfectly balanced, too. A mage, an archer and a sword/shield fighter. Iona died. :(

Well, does anyone have any strategies to killing a team of 3 Dwarven Sphere's that are after me ? I am playing on Expert, and would like to keep it that way, but if the only way to kill them and not use exploits is to lower the difficulty, then I will. But like I said, I would prefer a strategy please. :)

What level are you?
If it's feasible then "Come back later" is almost always the best option. :L
Otherwords use something fiery to kill them, and if you can; Try to take them one at a time. Maybe lead them back the way you came separately?

I am level .... 13 currently, and the Dwemer Ruin I am in is part of the
Spoiler:
Thieves Guild quest line
. I would like to complete the questline today, so I would prefer not to "Come back later".

Fiery hmm ? Thanks. :)
