Thieves Guild problem.
Hi there, I'm currently doing The Pursuit and I'm stuck at the part when you are supposed to take the key from Vlad. I got it by killing him and I couldn't open any door with the game saying that I don't have the right one. I thought that maybe it would work if I'd stolen the key but it did not as well. Any tips?

As far as I remember the only door that can be opened is the one that you can reach from the backyard if you activate this "bridge" to reach the balcony all others are barred from the inside.

That's right, look at the back of the house there is a balcony with no visable access to it. There is actually a ramp there that you need to lower. You do this by aiming at the mechanism for the ramp with a bow and shooting it. (this is easier to see if you have the zoom perk).Trelares wrote:As far as I remember the only door that can be opened is the one that you can reach from the backyard if you activate this "bridge" to reach the balcony all others are barred from the inside.
Edit: t
I'm having a problem where I can't use any of the fences. I have completed up to Trinty restored but don't have the dialogue options with any if the fences to buy or sell! Can anyone help? (I have PS3 version).

You can hit the ramp with a fireball as well as an arrow.
For the fences, I think you have to talk to Tonilia in the Ragged Flagon to start being able to fence things. Another thing you could try would be to get a burglary job from Vex and take something other than the target and then talk to Tonilia. Usually when you have stolen items on your person the first dialogue option for her is "What will you give me for these?"

I didnt know the ramp could be lowered.
I reached the balcony door by jumping on the roof of the neighboring house and on to the other roof.

If you had talked to Vex before doing the quest then she would have told you about the mechanism to lower the rampStinkyJozef wrote:I didnt know the ramp could be lowered.
