With Skyrim's volume sliders maxed in-game, I still have to bump up my computer's overall volume (via the Windows Sound Mixer in the system tray) by approximately 40% to get comfortable game sound. Other games I play on this PC don't have this problem. It's pretty inconvenient, since I can't balance my ssytem sounds against the Skyrim volume. And especially since I may tab back to desktop while the game is running.
Additionally, NPC speech is usually hard to hear unless I am standing practically on top of the NPC. Conversations between multiple NPCs are a crapshoot if I'll be able to hear the conversation.
Anybody else having these troubles? Any ideas what to do? Thanks!
