It is indeed great. But raises questions why the archery one sticks at a mere x3. it could have been boosted to x6 at least.

Btw the x15 dagger perk is further boosted while wearing dark brotherhood armor to x30!
Because a 6X for archery would have made it totally unfair. For example, with my level 100 smithing ability and a few enchantments, my bow does around 110 damage so with a sneak attack thats 300 damage, which is already a little ridiculous. Imagine 600 damage on a sneak attack from a bow...the game would be effectively over because of the range and damage.

At least with the 30X on the dagger you have to get a little up-close and personal :)
I agree that x6 would be unfair. My Blade of Woe can kill most people except the really hard foes instantly. While the bow won't. Which is a good thing.

The fact one gets up and personal is a great risk/reward compromise. With the dagger, it's usually not so that you can sneak back into the shadows (I sometimes do this, or a double sneak attack xD 100 sneak ftw). With a bow, you can re-hide back in the shadows before the foe spots you, so after searching he eventually wanders back and thought it was a false alarm, with the arrow sticking in his head and all... I managed to get 4 sneak bow shots to kill a Dragon priest (on the 2nd hardest difficulty) consecutively, because he walks so fast. So a x3 modified for bows is definitely enough.

Yeah - and with my 100 smithing / 100 enchanting my bow does well wround 400 dmg in one hit. I know you can get it up to 1300-1400 dmg but that is by using alchemy 100 with a lot of perks, which I really cannot be bothered with.
Also - 6x Archery dmg with my 400 dmg bow = 2400 dmg sneak attack. It would seriously one-shot anything if you can sneak attack it on Master.
Enchanted gear with double effect = 40 % bow dmg and 40 % improved sneak. I stopped playing on that character, because it got too easy. Even by raising my level using the console on Master :D I think the 3x dmg is sufficient enough.

some math for you
two daedric daggers + 15x sneak attack bonus perk + dark brotherhood gear -->
15x for one dagger + 15x for the other dagger = 30x damage -->
30x for both daggers + dark brotherhood gear x2 =
60x damage multiplier. it will only say 30, but thats because the game dosnt show a message for the added db armor

It does count the db multiplyer, but if you do a double power attack, it's:
(Damage done by both daggers)x15 x2 = (Damage done by both daggers)x30

Dual wield destruction/restoration for my mage. Warriors don't generally use parks with me, but Dragon Smithing at the end is brilliant, as long as you have the bones/scales. Rogues speciallise in one-handed, archery and sneak, without any other skills usually.
One does not equal three.
Two does not equal three.
By induction,
Three does not equal three.

For me the most useful perks have been the mana reductions perks in restoration and destruction and the atronach in Alteration. Also extra pockets in pickpocketing.+100 capacity for 3 perks is great.

At the entrance a Fish Speaker stooped and whispered to another: <<God is upset?>>
Her companion replied: <<The sins of the world is likely to disturb even a god.>>
Leto listened them and wept silently.

It takes me so much effort and time to concentrate on one character during a playthru that i can't imagine throwing another character into the mix and going back and forth between the two (or more) games.

Ofcouse, i'm very OCD/pack rat'ish so any kind of special item or weapon/armor i pick up i keep and throw in my house...w/ multiple characters this would be way too time consuming.
Must be similar :) I've one character, my namesake who's a generalist, doing every quest bar the Brotherhood pretty much. Got a stack of Misc. Quests before I realised they were mainly just clogging up my map\journal - I select everything bar the glitched ones.

I am planning a second character, an agent for the Thalmor - Stormcloak, Brotherhood, plus all other guilds, but will focus him. Trying to work out the 'perfect plan' before I do so, which means learning the game first! Mostly Magic plus Stealth plus Smithing I think, early joining the Companions and Thieves to unlock their early benefits, Mara quest, .... Still to work out the specifics :)

My big fear, aside from trying to play different characters at the same time, is how to avoid overwriting a save. Oh the horror!

For me, it's Concentrated Poison perks, and probably alchemy in general. I love brewing poisons and potions.
