Really strong Wabbajack...(COLLEGE OF WINTERHOLD SPOILERS)

Alright, so I was doing the

Spoiler:

quest where you have to go get the Staff of Magnus,

and found the

Spoiler:

dragon priest with the staff at the end of the Labrythinan.

So, I walk up to the enemy, and try to kill it with a Ebony Sword I got off of a draugr. The

Dragon priest

only took like two damage, and summoned a Storm antronach and killed me in two hits. So I try this several times, and fail each time. So I then decided to use the Wabbajack,

Which I got from Sheogorath's Daedric Shrine quest,

and shoot at the enemy twice. It dies immediately.

Non-Spoiler Version:
Found a tough enemy, tried killing it with a sword, did little damage, used Wabbajack on it twice, enemy dies immeditely.


I'm curious if this is a glitch or not, but I can't understand how it would do so much damage compared to my sword.

If you know why, please tell me.

The Wabbajack does a lot of things, it can kill instantly, turn enemies into mudscrabs or daedra warriors. That's the point of it, it's unpredictable. You just got lucky that you managed to kill the bad guy within two hits.

If I understood staffs correctly, your level in the staffs school of magic determines how much damage it deals/charges it has. I have no clue what school Wabbajack (destruction maybe) but that may be the reason it was so effective.
