Your favorite playing style
I didn't see this on any of the latest pages so I'd figure id make it.
It's prett simple, just tell what your favorite playing style is. Like a pure spell-slinger, a rough warrior, a sneaky assassin and anywhere in between. Also you can tell any techniques you use while playing this style.

My first character was essentially my favorite Diablo character translated into the world of the Elder Scrolls. I had a Turtle Mage on Battle.net: a Warrior with a good, sharp King's Blade of Vampires and a spellbook that would have made a Mini Mage (Rogue playing as a Sorceress) envious. Imagine the comments I got when other people saw this steel-clad knight whip off a Level 15 Fireball at some Goat Archers.
For Oblivion, he became a male Breton Spellsword in Ebony and Destruction spells. He was a do-gooder, mastering both blade and sorcery for the good of the Empire and innocents all around.
Well, after a good, long run with this fellow, I decided I better play a character that covered the last avenue of attack I've neglected all this while: Marksman. As dealt in the character of a naughty little Imperial blonde, made to physically resemble a Diablo II Amazon (I character class I detested). Same haircolor and style, minus the ponytail.
I haven't touched the Breton character since. He's too much like me, and I'm boring...
...so, what does the Imperial assassin-type do? She never moves on the actual road— bandits are lying in wait on the shoulders of the road, so why play into their hands? Sneaking along the embankments, boulders and scrub that flank the roads, she gets to ambush the ambushers.
Marksman fits well with the stealthy type. A sneaking dagger-wielding fellow is going to end up striking slower and with a greater drain on Fatigue if he presses his attack while in a Sneak stance (why would he do that? To keep that second Bandit who's standing fifty feet away in this cave completely oblivious, of course!) but an archer gets to shoot and re-shoot at the same rate and with the same fatigue drain (namely, zero) whether she's standing or crouching. Sure, anyone can sneak in order to get into the position for the first blow, but only an archer can fight from a sneaking position just as well as they could in a stand-up scuffle.

Yeah my first character was just like that, a breton that used magic for good but, i just got bored of summoning something and bashing people over and over again.
So i made a new character and of course saw an elf and my Tolkien senses tingled so i chose a wood elf w/ the "thief" template. I played for about 20 hours and figured there needs to be changes.
So 3rd time through I made the same wood elf and just made my own custom "assassin" class (original i know) then i've been playing then own w/ nothing but my bow and poisons. I also try to avoid fights but, it's pretty fun doing a backflip while dodge their attacks only to fill their chest full of poisons.

I am usualy a vampire knight. Warrior class but without the hand to hand skill and instead some acrobatics skill. I call the class "Slayer". Pretty basic I know but being a slayer dosen't make me completly evil I often help out my food from time to time.
I hate the daedra. There a blight on my perfect world, killing off my food supply. So I kill them whenever I can.
I stick mostly to the night time. Sneaking into the local tavern for a meal or two when everyones asleep.

Even though my though character is "bad" he also kills all daedra. Not for any good reasons just he's invious of the princes themselves.I hate the daedra. There a blight on my perfect world, killing off my food supply. So I kill them whenever I can.
I even keep the nearest gate to one of my houses open to call my own.
(really just for ingredients, cause my ps3 version doesn't have wizard's tower)
I sometimes go for vampire but it gets a little tedious, though i do normally stay in the dark anyway. Plus i kinda idolize Vincent Vallinte (sp?)

For the Daedra, the feeling's mutual. Remember what Janus Hassildor has to say about the Daedric invasion? Daedra have no love for vampires because they make poor slaves.Virtue Of Apathy wrote:...I hate the daedra. There a blight on my perfect world, killing off my food supply. I have a theory, complicated and protracted, which can be pretty much summed up thus; HIT HARD. KEEP HITTING...
Seriously, I end up being a sword-swinger nearly all of the time. Almost always, any character will end up in a situation where they'd just like one thing; to outlast, and out-hit everything in view... A strong, master swordsman is unstoppable in almost every situation; get a multi-augmented strength of around 150? And you see who's left standing.
And when it comes down to it, you can go around a problem - but it's just easier and more efficient to go through it.
(Though my new creation will be an Almter marksman/arcane-stealth based... with no Blade skill whatsoever and no armour... so this time I'll have to play different)

I like to do just about everything. Sometimes I play a sneaky assassin, with the DB Armor&Hood. Sometimes I walk around in Full Daedric Armor, like in Combat. And sometimes I wear the Black Hand Hood&Robe when I'm casting spells.
So I sneak, fight and cast spells.
I'm playing with a Nord by the way.

Good topic...
As a Dunmer NightBlade, I prefer ranged and/or stealth attacks first, either with bow/arrow or an offensive attacking spell. If these attacks don't kill the enemy right away, I find higher ground if need be and conjure up a Scamp or Skeleton to attack/distract until I can pick my moment to finish my attacker off with a blade, prefereably a poisoned dagger or short sword. Hmmm, now that I type it, it sounds kinda cowardly - haha - but hey, it's more twisted and cunning that way. Such is the life of a tormented Dunmer NightBlade. I used to create the ol' standby Breton/Imperial BattleMage or SpellSword, but that left little room for tasty background stories and strategy.
It would be easier to cut through everything with sword and shield, but I enjoy the manevuering and strategy of this type of character. Makes me think more.

I like to play an Assassin, but after 10-15 hours of playing, it's getting bored. So I like to play with a combination of combat, stealth and magic.
This is my current character:
Nord Male
The Warrior
Strength, Endurance
Light Armor, Heavy Armor, Sneak, Blade, Blunt, Acrobatics, Athletics
The stats look like those of a fighter, except the fact that I took Light Armor, Sneak, Acrobatics and Athletics.
And yes, I don't have any magic skill as my major.
But I do use a lot of magic, and once my Intelligence skill has reached 100, I do got a Magicka amount of 200, which I can boost with potions/spells/enchantments.
I also use marksman and alchemy a lot.
So those skills will go up, without my character go up in level. So I get tougher, while my enemies won't. I'm playing on the highest difficulty so that's quite handy.
I'm also a full vampire, for some cool extra boosts in attributes/skills.
And I like to be an evil villain, so I kill every person that can be killed, and break in at every house I see.

I play a marksman-only stealth character with heavy armour. I never invest much in endurance, even with heavy armour. So this compensates slightly for my lack of hit points. Meh preffered attributes are speed, agility and strength (Loot! Loot!) and often max those out first, then comes intelligence, willpower after that and then comes endurance. I never found much use for many hit points when playing stealth, as you're not seen most of the time anyway. When I do get seen, I can get out of reach very far, very fast. Mages are easy to dodge, and warriors I can outrun without effort. And I usually one-hit everything, anyway.
I never knew what made people be theives and mages. Why sneak your frail little body around or run in fear of the big scary problem? Normally I impale it then watch it flail, but that's me... I'm a warrior, for those whom do not know, and take pride in it. My style has changed somewhat, though. At first I was a straight-up warrior, no magic, no sneaking, none of it. But as I used the few healing and destruction spells I had, I started to decline my potion use and start healing using magic. My health was very high at the time, so I used spells for almost all minor wounds. My style slowly went along this path, my magic use increasing. Now i'm a more paladin type person, but I still stick with a longsword or claymore for the most part.
Well, why in the world would you be running with your frail little body from your enemy if you can kill it from half a mile away? Assassins and thieves are good with speed, and they don't wear armor because they don't fear getting hit. Assassins are also good with 1 shot kills, so there is no need for direct confrontation. Heck, there's also no need for the target to even know what hit him.
