Have to agree, no way they're going to put that in their game.
Although it would be quite humorous, but they know, that they've had egg on they're faces so to speak since launch, and it has gathered some attention in the gaming press. They'll fix Skyrim by Christmas, when in hindsight they should have delayed the launch instead of locking in a release date in the reveal trailer.

Re: Claimed easter egg...seen it?
This seems more like a jab at Bethesda hidden behind some lame claim to set you all out looking for it eternally (like the dreaded Final Fantasy 9 Wardrobe Key dropped by the black waltz no. 1) I would not waste time looking for it.
1. if somebody caught it on picture (and if you found this you would certainly grab anything to get evidence) the Beth would be in massive trouble, they would have their credibility shot and lose most if not all of their fan base (FO fans too since they dropped a bomb with New Vegas)
2. I imagine a very harsh penalty would be handed to them by trading standards...having to refund millions is not a prospect you flirt about with.
I personally think they have put great time into this game, yes they could have taken a bit more, adding a hardcore mode and fixing bugs would have been the icing on the cake of a brilliant game! They have made a large patch just weeks after its launch and if they quickly patch that one then I think they are sending a message that they will not abandon the games fans like previous titles... Which I find they simply can not resort to at this point.

Re: Claimed easter egg...seen it?
Why would Beth lose most of their fan base and have to refund millions over an easter egg?

Because what this alleged easter egg would be symbolizing if it was real is Bethesda saying "we do not care if the game works or not, we do not care about you as our customer and now that we have duped you into buying our game we will sit and count your money, go away now."

Re: Claimed easter egg...seen it?
If a game company mocks its customers in the manner described they would have one hell of a PR issue on its hands, trading standards would most likely get involved as well due to a lot of people complaining once it became common knowledge. I wouldn't be surprised if they did or got a huge fine.
All that said I really do not believe that exists... They may slack massively during testing/fixing but I doubt they have that contempt for their customers.

Re: Claimed easter egg...seen it?
How can anyone think this is real? Yes, he may very well have come across a bandit camp (it's too detailed to be a lie), but I HIGHLY doubt it was added by Bethesda in this new 1.2 patch. It's utterly ridiculous to think so. The guy himself said the camp vanished, which most likely means its a random event, so he has no evidence to support it was added before the patch or not. Secondly, Bethesda would have had to record new voice files and then add them, if this isn't the case, then those voice files were there from the very start, in which case, it's all a coincidence.

Re: Claimed easter egg...seen it?
I don't think its so much that they slack during testing I think it seems that way for two reasons.
1. I believe the game wasn't in a final beta until approximately 6 Weeka before the game was to be pressed.
2. They do in house QA, with relatively speaking, a small development team. If the entire staff were involved in testing thats maybe 150 people, and of those maybe 20 have the ability to identify and eliminate bugs, then doing the same to X360 & PS3 is time consuming. They should outsource their testing, such as Rockstar and EA Bioware does with V3R Software. Bethesda will fix Skyrim, before the holidays.

Re: Claimed easter egg...seen it?
Just to make it clear I was speaking on IF it was genuine and everything he said was true which I just do not believe.
the way he mentions it being added by the patch and them talking about "backward dragon speech" which to me heavily references the backward flying dragon bug added by the patch (which would make it intentional or purposely overlooked) and then throw in his using bandits to symbolize Beth as crooks/robbers mocking the player for not caring now they have and are counting his/her money says to me the original poster saying how he was robbed by them and even had his game broken by them and is now refused help with shouts of "go away now we are done with your game" I think the symbolism is all very obvious which is why this simply can not exist and has to be slander.
Beth would not do that to its customers and then add that as salt to the wounds, like I suggested earlier the backlash would be huge and they do not hold that contempt from my experience... just not the best at patching in the gaming world.

Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

If it is real & that's a big if. It sounds more like a broken or unfinished quest.
I used to be an adventurer, but then I broke my GF's IPhone 4 & she mutilated me in a rather personal manner
