Mine came about from the following equation: Trogdor the Burninator+Cronus (1/2 my Sithly name)+27 (the luckiest # ever)=TrogdorCronus27 :)

It's a really beautiful and amazing country! You will have to convince your Grandparents that since they're getting on abit now, it would be v. beneficial to them to take their Grandchild with them!
DorostheConqueror wrote:...until you posted that weka video, I was completely unaware that there were rednecks in NZ!
 Well they wouldn't be called that there, and I've only ever really had a pretty vague understanding of the term, but yep you're prob right, there's prob quite alot of them there!
DorostheConqueror wrote:...Is the weather as nice as it is England?
Ha! Far better!! But it's a long thin country, so it covers alot of weather zones. Down the bottom of the South Island it's prob comparable to at least Scotland, if not further North (I've only been down there in Summer time). At the top of the North Island, it's not far off the same latitude as Sydney.

And most importantly, you're never far from a beach anywhere!! 8)
It might just be the music. "Dueling Banjos" is a staple of Redneckabilia (right up there with Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cable Guy), and anyone living Stateside who hears it is instantly beset with images of toothless hillbillies, pickup trucks, and (if you've seen Deliverance) man-rape.

Not the man-rape scene, the banjo one. American culture ahoy!

And I'm serious about the weather! I love the rainy drizzle of the average English weekend. For example, one of the best holidays I ever had as when I went to Chepstow Castle (Wales I know, but it's right on the border so it counts) and a flash storm struck up. All the other tourists and Welshmen fled for the gift shop, but I went straight up the gate tower (the deep worn steps rapidly pooling with rain water and turning into a series of tiny, sea-stone slick waterfalls) and sent the next half hour sitting on the battlements, getting rained on. It's a miracle I didn't get hit by lightning, and my grandparents wouldn't let me back in the car, but it was worth it.

Now that I can understand!! As much as I am a sun-worshiper, I absolutely love the wildness of the wind and the rain!!

But here most of the time it's just gray gray gray.... It's so soul-destroying gray.... so much so that I'm trying to get some time off work beg Feb to nip over to Tobago to balance things out abit.....

I know more than I want to about rain (I live in Seattle) and more than I want to about rednecks (I grew up in GA and went to the same college as the aforementioned Mr. Foxworthy), so can we please get back on subject?

I made up my name for a wow character of mine, and liked the sound of it enough to recycle it here.

I was The Tourist on a music-y forum about 5 long years ago. Then I was The Tourist somewhere else. And now I am still The Tourist.

Note: The above is possibly the most interesting mini-paragraph EVER devised! This one isn't quite as good...

Oh, The Tourist is also a lovely Radiohead song.

Always good to see another Tolkien fan.

Oh. Phew. That's OK, then! Hopefully the dropping out involved lots of alcohol abuse and knocked up cheerleaders- because if it was "I can't handle the pressure of my term paper on Sartre's later works", I don't want to know about it.

A name I made up a long time ago for a character. I've always had a bit of an obsession with thunder/lightning, thus the "rai" then I just tacked on the "karr" just to add a little substance to the name. Two r's at the end just looked better than one. The name has stuck with me ever since, I use it in just about everything.

I just adored Mr Teatime in the movie Hogfather (he's a sociopathic, curly-haired assasin with a black glass eye  ) so it really suits me to be Mrs Teatime.
I have used a few other names elsewhere on the internet but I've decided to stick with Mrs Teatime from now on.

Bear, any of a group of mammals distinguished by a large, stocky body; powerful limbs; dense fur; and a short, stumpy tail.

I can be anywhere from a grizzly to a teddy bear.

Actually it is a term of endearment given to me by my girlfriend. She calls me Mato which is Lakota for bear. I use some form of it for most all my usernames.

It's a name I gave to one of my characters, but I nicked it from Tolkien's 'The Silmarillion.' It's an elven name meaning 'Dark Maiden', which I thought was pretty cool.

Yeah, I know - I'm a nerd! :)

Nothing nerdy about that! I pretty much always name my chars Lorien because I love trees and I almost always play elves. (Lothlorien just seems abit ott, and it is only the Tolkien ref that I use it for, not the Babs5 ref)

Well, Morrowind's the only game I've played, and in it, Muthsera seems to be the equivalent of a Sir/Ma'am type of word. It's sort of me saying that I'm trying to hide behind my name, if that makes sense.
